Job Description

  • Function/ Region: Global Procurement (HGP)
  • (Sub)department: Sustainable Production
  • Job purpose:  Shapes and implements global strategies for renewable energy (thermal energy and electricity) to decarbonize Heineken operations as part of the Evergreen Net Zero agenda. Develops and manages strategic relations with suppliers and builds and deploys new renewable solution capabilities with 60+ OpCo’s.  Negotiates contracts, orchestrates and executes S2C activities along the operating model for sub-categories.

Roles & Responsibilities
1.Responsibility (global scope): Renewable thermal and electricity across the 4 regions
2.Responsibility (nature of work): Global sourcing strategy, implementation, orchestration of the global renewable energy portfolio of € 700m, annually growing with €100m. Drives carbon reduction through a range of sourcing solutions and RE technologies, optimizes total cost, mitigates operational, reputational and financial risks through tailored strategies, negotiations and contracting. Captures E2E business requirements (safety, sustainability, service, cost, innovation) and embeds effective operating models.  Manages strategic supplier relationships across OpCo’s globally, effectively manages internal/external senior executive relations
3.Responsibility (budget): €700m LT contracted renewable energy value
4.Responsibility (stakeholders):  From OpCo SCD/FD/PSM to ET  to external peers RE associations, NGOs
5.Role: Expert and go-to person for sourcing and contracting high impact RE solutions to decarbonize Heineken
6.Role: Maintains good understanding of market and RE developments and translates it into tailored sourcing strategies that accelerates the transition to carbon neutrality
7.Role: Leads and supports execution and implementation of high impact sourcing RE thermal and electricity projects for 50 OpCo’s in reach region.
8.Role: Build and maintain a complex and extensive internal and external network to find game changing solutions, build RE solution capabilities that support strategy building and delivery
9.Role: Drives results with focus on RE & carbon reduction, low Capex solutions and company risk mitigation
Experience & Profile (what & how)


- Education: Master degree in supply chain, economics, business administration or finance.

- Work experience: > 10 years in procurement or supply chain, having worked in international environments and diverse teams

- Required work experience in field of expertise: supply chain procurement, renewable energy, energy tendering, senior supplier management, contract management,  project

management, process design and optimization, multi-functional stakeholder management, operational exposure

- Functional skills: Commercial, analytical, senior leadership/ stakeholder management and communication

- Languages: English (Full Professional Proficiency)
