Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

• Responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of barrels
• Operating the Forklift
• Loading and off-loading of barrels
• Physical filling and emptying of brandy barrels to/from maturation
• Transfer and taking up of tanks
• Assist with daily and weekly recon when needed
• Preparing of samples for testing and/or Organoleptic assessment and classification
• Assist in the monthly Bulk Stock Take process
• Execution of daily tasks are done to correct company procedures and work instructions
• Compliance with OHS Act standards
• Effective Record keeping
• Maintain cellar hygiene standards
• Drawing and testing of production tank samples
• Apply strict loss control
• Effective record keeping
• Active participation in TPM Level 1 team activities
• Participate in effective problem solving

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

• Minimum Grade 12
• 1-3 Years relevant experience in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to work effectively under pressure
• Knowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standards will be advantageous
• Willing and able to work extended hours(overtime) as and/or when required
• A Valid Forklift license
• A Valid Code 10 license
• Willingness to perform ad hoc duties, including in other departments, when required
• Must be a team player
• Must be physically fit and healthy to cope with the physical demands of the position
• Good interpersonal skills
• Punctuality and attendance reliability
