Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position based at Goudini Distillery. The successful candidate will report to the Bulk Stock & Fermentation Controller.

 

Key Performance Areas would include, but are not limited to:

  • Offloading of bulk products
  • Execution of fermentation related tasks
  • Product transfers
  • Apply strict and accurate loss control
  • Taking up of tanks for stock reconciliations
  • Operation of the press and Amarula pot-still
  • Sample preparations for organoleptic assessment
  • Execution of daily tasks and activities to achieve departmental targets
  • Ensure daily tasks are done in accordance with correct company procedures and work instructions
  • Responsible for 5s activities
  • Loading of bulk products
  • Effective cleaning of bulk products
  • Accurate and effective record keeping
  • Execution of basic maintenance task
  • Taking routine and non-routine samples
  • Active participation in Problem Solving
  • Active participation in all TPM activities
  • Assist in monthly bulk stock take process
  • Perform ad hoc tasks/activities when required

 

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

  • Minimum Grade 12
  • Working experience in a Cellar environment will be advantageous
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure
  • Team player with good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standards will be advantageous
  • Willing and able to work extended hours(overtime) as and when required
  • Must be physically fit and healthy to cope with the physical demands of the job (i.e. heavy lifting, working at heights and in confined spaces)
  • Punctuality and Attendance reliability
