Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in the Materials Department at JC Le Roux, Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will report to the Materials Manager.
Key performance areas are include (but not limited to):
Effective Human Resource Management:
- Entrench a High-Performance Culture (HPC) within the Warehouse team
- Cultivate staff morale and employee engagement.
- Grow Human Resource capability and capacity.
Effective Financial Management:
- Management of variable personnel cost
- Management of other variable running cost
- Management of write-off and loss account
- Management of waste & recovery cost
Effective Operations & Risk Management:
- Provide an effective service to internal and external customers.
- Entrench the Supply Chain Excellence Operating Model
- Entrench SOP’s and Work Instructions
- Entrench SHERQ standards and practises.
- Effective Management of Full Goods
- Effective and accurate stock control and monthly co-ordinating of stock takes
- Optimize storage capacity utilisation.
- Efficiently managing the MHE Equipment
- Effective management of full goods from the production line
- Monthly completion of ICC
The successful candidate must have the following minimum qualifications: knowledge; attributes & skills/experiences:
- A tertiary qualification in logistics, supply chain, operations management
- 1 – 3 years’ Experience in FMCG environment, at Team Leader / Supervisory level
- 1 – 3 years’ Experience in working on the ERP suite
- Proficient in MS Office
- Must have own reliable transport to and from work.
- Working knowledge of SAP-MM
- Must be able to work overtime and shifts.
- Sound communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to manage people
- Sound prioritisation and execution skills
- Good team player
- Able to work under pressure and cope with the inherent physical demands of the position.
