Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position based in the Procurement department, Adam Tas in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate will report to the Master Materials Scheduler at Adam Tas.
Key performance areas include (but are not limited to):
- Effective Supplier Relationship Management to ensure Purchase Orders are delivered On-Time-In-Full (OTIF)
- Ensure accurate Vendor Records, material Master Data and Pricing
- Create and or convert dependant Purchase Requisitions in SAP
- Create Purchase Orders on SAP and effectively Communicate PO’s to Suppliers.
- Confirm Delivery Dates and manage Delivery Status.
- Assist with population of the Missing Parts report.
- Run daily Procurement Routines and effectively and timeously manage Exception Messages.
- Effectively managed material EOQ’s & MOQ’s.
- Assist with the effective management of material Price Variances.
- Analyse & take corrective action on Abnormal Purchase Requisitions (automated/manual).
- Reduce Working Capital through optimized procurement practices.
- Manage procurement routines for (NPD) & (PUG) post site handover.
- Assist with site - Procurement Risk Management Routines and Control.
- Perform the relevant Administration, Verification and Reporting functions
- Actively participating in Planning Mini-Business and actively drives Continuous Improvement Initiatives
The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:
- Tertiary qualification / NQF 6 (Focussing on Supply Chain Management and or Purchasing
- 1-3 Years working experience in a procurement & buying environment
- Competency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook & PowerPoint.
- Working knowledge of Materials Requirement Planning (MRP) on an ERP suite (working knowledge of MRP on SAP MM),
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Previous experience in procurement & buying environment
- Sound interpersonal skills
- Ability to work under pressure.
- Willingness to work extended hours if and when required.
- Ability to analyse, interpret and compute sets of data
- Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks in an organized and structured manner.
- Must have reliable transport to and from work.
