Purpose of the Role

The Imports and Exports Manager is responsible for overseeing the operational aspects of imports and exports of raw & pack, ensuring that materials and products are received and delivered on time, in full, and in a cost-effective manner. This role requires management, planning, and coordination skills to manage the Import & Export Controller teams, collaborate with internal department (mainly Planning & Procurement) and manage LSPs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Operational Management: Oversee the day-to-day operations of imports and exports, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.

2. Demand Planning: Collaborate with internal stakeholders to plan and coordinate the receipt and delivery of materials and products.

4. Team Leadership: Lead and manage the Import & Export Controller and Shipping Controller teams, providing guidance, coaching, and development opportunities. Organization and People management: Actively drives a customer centric culture in the OpCo and ensures cross-functional alignment. Effectively organizes and manages a team of people

5. Customer Relationship Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, ensuring that their needs are met and that issues are resolved promptly.

6. Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with imports and exports, including regulatory compliance, supply chain disruptions, and customs clearance.

7. Continuous Improvement: Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction.

Job Requirements: Education and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
• Functional expert in Imports & Exports
• 5+ years of experience in imports and exports management, including experience with customs clearance, supply chain optimization, and team leadership
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
•  Knowledge of imports and exports regulations, customs clearance procedures, and supply chain optimization best practices
