Applications are invited for the above-mentioned position to be based in Manufacturing, Springs.

This person will report to the Shift Team Leader

You will be required to do the following:

• Operate, start and stop power driven machines particular to the industry example (tray packer, labeller, seamer, filler, capping machine) etc.
• Scrutinizes or checks the work done by machine.
• Makes running adjustments to the machine.
• Ensure quality standards are adhered to (quality checks).
• Ensure settings done according to SOP’s.
• Assist in changeover procedure.
• Unplanned downtime, minimize unplanned downtime on machines and equipment.
• Optimize all machines and equipment OEE (Overall Equipment Efficiency).
• Executing first line maintenance.

The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills:

• Technical orientated.
• Grade 12 qualification 
• 1 – 2 years relevant experience
• Must have Packaging 2 Skills Programme
• NQF Level 3 Packaging Qualification
