Role Purpose

 

To support the Processing & Support functions within the group.Processing of journals for the group. Controlling of GL Accounts including the analyses of trends, costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations.Reports organisation's finances to management and offers suggestions about resource utilization, tax strategies, and assumptions underlying budget forecasts.

  • GL Account reconciliations and Submission
  • Monthly journal processing
  • Assistance with year-end and interim tasks
  • Annual financial statements
  • STATS SA questionnaires
  • Timely submission with queries
  • Feedback from Group financial controller

  • Debtors and audit committee Reporting
  • Assist with managing insurance renewal process, as well as assist with monthly accounting of insurance related items
  • Correct and timeously consolidation of applicable 

 

  • Customer & Relationship Results
  • Build effective relationships with external and internal stakeholders
  • Assist business with accounting related queries, month end processes and journals
  • Resolve insurance related queries
  • Assist with training and develop of Top trainees

Formal Education

  • Completed BCom Accounting Degree
  • Recognised post secondary accounting qualification advantageous.
  • Accreditation to a professional body will be advantageous.

Demonstrated skills:

  • Fully computer literate in SAP , MS Office (advanced Excel skills) & Power BI
  • People Management experience required
  • Good communication skills, both verbally and written
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Must be innovative and self-driven
  • Attention to detail and analytical abilities are essential
