Purpose of the Position

The POSM Coordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate records of all merchandise inventory, ensuring the right materials are on hand, tracking what has been used, and identifying items that require reordering. The role also involves the proper allocation of POSM to sales and merchandising teams responsible for its execution and implementation. This role ensures that promotional materials are always available to support trade marketing and sales initiatives.

 

KEY RESULT AREAS

 

  • Support the Channel Activities Planning Manager in managing 3rd party warehousing partners
  • Ensure all material arriving in depot is GR’ed accurately and timeously.
  • Maintain accurate records of POSM inventory, including conducting regular inventory counts and    reporting any discrepancies.
  • Provide regular and accurate reporting to internal stakeholders and handle queries about merchandise on hand.
  • Ensure that all merchandising and administrative duties are performed in a timely and accurate manner, and that all deadlines are met.
  • Complete all documentation as per the standards.
  • Keep all stakeholders up to date weekly on delivery of POSM as it comes in.
  • Monitor warehouse capacity and report constraints back into the Channel Activities Planning manager.
  • Capture monthly report information and feed back to relevant stakeholders.
  • Apply and maintain the Quality Management System.
  • Identify and flag redundant stock, or stock without movement to the Channel Activities Planning Manager.
  • Ensure effective communication with external and internal stakeholders.
  • Adhere to all risk and safety procedures.
  • Accurate completion of ad hoc requests.
  • Follow Heineken Beverages policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

 

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Degree/Diploma in Commerce, Marketing or Business Administration

 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

 

  • A minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in a customer service or administrative role.
  • Experience in the alcoholic beverages industry is advantageous.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work in a process-driven manner and be able to follow procedures in an organized and efficient way.
  • Innovative by nature and passionate about continuous improvement
