Purpose:
The position is responsible for creating and implementing corporate marketing programs and campaigns that engage both internal and external stakeholders and builds HEINEKEN Beverages’ corporate brand profile. The incumbent will also be tasked with leading, developing and delivering a corporate marketing communication strategy that builds HEINEKEN Beverages’ brand awareness and effectively profiles and promotes HEINEKEN Beverages and its products among key internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
Corporate Brand Management
- Develop a marketing strategy for the HEINEKEN Beverages corporate brand that clearly aligns and supports HEINEKEN Beverages strategic objectives, including our sustainability agenda- Brew a Better World
- Identify opportunities to positively position and profile HEINEKEN Beverages’ corporate brand, its people, and products to increase its brand equity through effective PR and marketing communications programs.
- Develop programmes and narrative that builds and protects the HEINEKEN Beverages corporate brand.
- Ensure brand positioning of HEINEKEN beverages reflects brand intrinsic is aligned to global HEINEKEN brand positioning.
- Ensure corporate brand strategy implemented and integrated into overall corporate communication strategy and is aligned with marketing strategy to avoid any dissonance between corporate and brand approach.
- Continuous benchmarking of best practice processes within corporate brand positioning to drive continuous improvement.
Corporate brand communication channels
- Development and implement operational plans to elevate corporate brand of HEINEKEN beverages through various channels including social media, corporate website etc.
- Own and regularly update the corporate website, and benchmark with best in class for further improvements
- Developing and maintaining relationships with social media networks, including influencers, to increase corporate brand visibility as well as with traditional and non-traditional media where appropriate.
- Implement social media listening tools in line with global standards as well as media monitoring system.
- Track and monitor media activity, sentiments, and perceptions of HEINEKEN Beverages and develop appropriate action plans to build and protect the HIENEKEN Beverages brand and product brands in its stable
Employer Brand campaign
- With the People Function, conceptualise and implement employer brand campaigns to drive employee ambassadorship, position HEINEKEN Beverages employer value proposition to internal and external audience
- Implement 360 campaigns to anchor the HEINEKEN Beverages top employer brand
- Activate and partner with internal brand champions to amplify internal employee engagement campaigns
PR Partnership between the Corporate brand and product brands
- Implement a strategy to showcase the breath and depth of the HEINEKEN Beverages portfolio
- Identify opportunities to partner PR campaigns for the corporate brand with product brands
- Provide PR Support to product brands, including showcasing new product launches, celebrate brands accolades (awards and international rankings)
Agency management
- Appointing and managing external agency to support corporate brand, where appropriate and budget allowing
- Launch and implement at least two key campaigns per year to promote corporate brand.
- Internal roll-out and continuous monitoring of corporate brand
Reputation Management
- Promote and protect HEINEKEN Beverages reputation both internally and externally.
- Track and monitor reputation scores for HEINEKEN beverages and reputational risks.
- As per the HEINEKEN global methodology commission the HEINEKEN beverages reputation survey, socialise the outcomes of the survey in the business and oversee the development of the improvement plan.
- Identify opportunities for HEINEKEN beverages to participate in reputable local survey- corporate brand and product brand and oversee submission/ participation of the business and product brands in the survey.
- Amplify through story telling HEINEKEN beverages sustainability commitments (brew a better world) programmes and initiatives to stakeholders through our various stakeholder and customer facing channels, and any other success within the business.
- Be the custodian of HEINEKEN beverages social media policy. Train key internal stakeholders including employees on building and protecting HEINEKEN Beverages corporate brand- Do’s and don’ts of social media policy.
Corporate Brand Assets Management
- Be the custodian of the corporate brand identity –train employees on the use of the corporate brand identity, including at induction sessions
- Own and regularly update the corporate presentation to reflect history, general information and about the business and latest developments
- Develop simplified CI guidelines for employees across the business and socialise with colleagues and comms champions in various functions.
- Sign off mock ups/ proposals for all branded material for various functions within the business including employee uniform, corporate gifts, office designs and etc
Stakeholder Partnering and Collaboration
- Develop internal and external relationships and networks with organisational focus to enhance the corporate brand.
- Collaboratively develop corporate brand and marketing campaigns and initiatives with inputs from key stakeholders, and drives execution.
- Build and maintain constructive working relationships with key stakeholders that include social media and traditional/non-traditional media where appropriate.
Education & Experience:
- Postgraduate tertiary qualification in Marketing, Brand Management, Corporate communication
- A minimum of 8 years+ experience
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills at all levels.
- Excellent presentation and communication skills.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Strategic/action orientation, self-driven and innovative.
- High level of emotional intelligence.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and under pressure
