Purpose of the Position

The Channel Activities Planning Manager will oversee the development of BTL campaigns, ensuring timely delivery and effective communication between stakeholders. This role is crucial for coordinating campaigns from inception to delivery, improving operational efficiency, and managing resources and schedules. The Channel Activities Planning Manager will act as a central point of contact, ensuring that trade campaigns are implemented on time

 

KEY RESULT AREAS

 

  • Manage daily schedules and project workloads, ensuring timely progress and effective resource allocation.
  • Regularly report on campaign status, including progress, issues, and workload balancing.
  • Facilitate timely communication between stakeholders, such as brand teams, channel leads, Channel Activities Deployment Manager and regions to ensure alignment and smooth execution.
  • Lead and coordinate trade campaigns from initial stages through to delivery, ensuring all stages meet creative briefs, budget, and deadlines.
  • Monitor current traffic processes and suggest improvements to enhance operational efficiency within the trade marketing, sales and brand marketing teams.
  • Managing the activity planning team, the Channel Activities Planning Manager will monitor and manage resource allocation and workload to ensure excellent campaign execution.
  • Act as the central point of contact for trade marketing teams, brand teams and regional sales, for campaign related matters.
  • Manage traffic running into the trade, to ensure campaign load is executable by our sales and merchandising teams, and that trade has capacity to execute, elevating to the integrated commercial lead where necessary.
  • Lead cross functional collaboration sessions as required, ensuring full alignment between stakeholders throughout the campaign development process.
  • Collaborate with the Integrated Commercial Lead on project budgets to ensure optimal allocation of resources and ensuring budget adherence.
  • Develop and maintain trade marketing campaign schedules, ensuring all deadlines are met.
  • Manage communication platform to keep stakeholders informed of campaign development progress and full cross functional alignment.  Including go live dates, campaign objectives and deliverables, as well as execution expectations and measurements.
  • Assist with post campaign performance analysis and suggest improvements to achieve desired results.
  • Follow Heineken Beverages policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement

 

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance or Business Administration.

 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in activity planning or campaign development in an FMCG environment.
  • Demonstrable experience in marketing together with the potential and attitude required to learn.
  • Proven experience in identifying target audiences and in creatively devising and leading cross channel marketing campaigns that engage, educate and motivate.
  • Solid knowledge of website analytics tools.
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Ability to co-ordinate cross functional teams.
  • Experience in setting up and optimizing campaigns.
  • Numerically literate, comfortable working with numbers, making sense of metrics and processing figures with spreadsheets.
