Purpose of the Position

The purpose of the Channel Activation Specialist is to work closely with the Sales teams to execute the activation plan for Heineken Beverages offers & brands within each channel, leveraging knowledge about customers, competitors and trends in the market. The role will support execution of channel marketing projects to support the delivery of volume, turnover, gross margin and market share targets.

 

KEY RESULT AREAS

  • Support the delivery of Volume, Turnover, Gross Margin and Market Share targets across various channels in the market.
  • Support the execution of Channel marketing plans for the market across all product and channel brands, leveraging global programmes wherever possible.
  • Work closely with Sales Teams, Brand & Communications, Sales Operation and RTM partners to execute the right mix of activation models. Ensure leading quality on all consumer touch points
  • Work with sales teams and customers to implement best in class promotional activities and in store experiential consumer experiences. Ensure leading quality on all consumer touch points
  • Support the execution of agreed Channel marketing programmes in the market, leading projects, workstreams or initiatives as assigned.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all projects and initiatives and closely monitors activation KPIs and space performance.
  • Manage existing channel offers / touchpoints as assigned, including digital. Ensure leading quality on all consumer touch points
  • Support tactical marketing interventions within the designated geography.
  • Ensure Safe & Compliant on ground activations.
  • Ensure activation is to budget and is in full compliance.
  • Execute promotional activities, such as product launches, promotion, and marketing campaigns, to drive product penetration and increase sales.
  • Track and analysing sales performance metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of channel strategies and initiatives, adjusting as needed to achieve sales targets.
  • Generate regular reports on  ROI, sales performance, market insights, and channel activities to management and stakeholders.Follow Heineken Beverages policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

 

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree/diploma in Marketing, Economics, Business or equivalent.

 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

  • 3+ years of experience in Trade Marketing/ Sales Operations.
  • Experience of working with agencies and project management
  • Demonstrate good skills in applying Customer and Consumer Insights, Offer execution & growth, Market Understanding, Project & relationship management.
  • Demonstrate strong experience in B2B or B2C marketing activation & campaign execution.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to build strong relationships inside and out of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills: ability to juggle multiple projects, organize and prioritize, and respond quickly to changes.
  • Valuable time spent in trade to understand channel dynamics, shopper behaviour, activity execution barriers and opportunities. 70% time to be spent in trade.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tasks
