Purpose of the Position

The purpose of the Channel Activation Specialist is to work closely with the sales teams and 3rd party merchandise teams to execute the activation plan for Heineken Beverages brands within the Modern Off Trade channel. Leveraging knowledge about customers, competitors and trends in the market. The role will support the Channel Activation Manager in the execution of channel marketing projects to support the delivery of volume, turnover, gross margin and market share targets.

 

KEY RESULTS AREAS

 

  • Support the delivery of Volume, Turnover, Gross Margin and Market Share targets across various channels in the market.
  • Support the development of Channel marketing plans for the Modern Off Trade channel across all product and channel brands, leveraging global programmes wherever possible.
  • Support the execution and deployment of agreed Channel marketing programmes for the Modern Off Trade channel.
  • Valuable time spent in trade to understand channel dynamics, shopper behaviour, activity execution barriers and opportunities.
  • Ensure accurate and timely delivery of all projects and initiatives and closely monitors activation KPIs.
  • Coordination of 3rd party merchandise briefing and execution of in trade campaigns.
  • Work with agencies and key partners to plan detailed activation modules.
  • Support tactical marketing interventions within the designated geography.
  • Ensure Safe & Compliant on the ground activations.
  • Support the execution of promotional activities, such as product launches, promotion, and marketing campaigns, to drive product penetration and increase sales.
  • Assist the channel team with reporting and administration through SAP, CRM, procurement, merchandising, budgeting, scorecard, tracking and campaign calendars.
  • Follow Heineken Beverages policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

 

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • A degree/diploma in Marketing, Economics, Business or equivalent.

 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

 

  • 3+ years of experience in Trade Marketing/ Sales Operations.
  • Experience of working with agencies and project management.
  • Demonstrate good skills in applying Customer and Consumer Insights, Offer execution & growth, Market Understanding, Project & relationship management.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills used to build strong relationships inside and out of the organization.
  • Strong project management skills: ability to juggle multiple projects, organize and prioritize, and respond quickly to changes.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage tasks.
