Purpose of the Position

The Asset Strategy Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategies to optimize the utilization and deployment of assets, including fridges and draught beer dispensing equipment. This role is crucial in supporting the company’s growth and market share objectives in the LAD’s category by ensuring assets are effectively managed and strategically aligned to business goals across channels.

 

KEY RESULT AREAS

 

  • Asset Utilization Optimization: Analyse and enhance the efficiency of trade assets, focusing on fridges and draught beer dispensing equipment, to ensure maximum productivity and cost-effectiveness.
  • Strategic Deployment: Develop and implement strategies for optimal asset deployment across various channels, aligning with growth and market share goals across categories.
  • Roll-Out Planning: Oversee planning and execution of asset roll-outs, including coordinating with the Asset Deployment Manager to ensure timely and effective deployment.
  • Operational Insight: Leverage a strong operational background to guide asset management strategies, ensuring practical execution and alignment with business needs.
  • Channel & Customer Understanding: Apply knowledge of channel dynamics, shopper behaviour, and customer needs to optimize asset deployment and performance.
  • Commercial Acumen: Ensure asset strategies align with commercial objectives and drive growth across categories and channels.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously assess and improve asset management processes to enhance efficiency and return on investment (ROI).
  • Budget Management:  Ensure adherence to both CAPEX & OPEX budgets with continuous monitoring of spend vs plan, with feedback and alignment to Integrated Commercial Lead.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including sales, trade marketing, and brand marketing, to ensure asset strategies support broader business goals.
  • Reporting & Analysis: Track asset performance, report on key metrics, and provide insights for strategic adjustments.
  • Follow Heineken Beverages policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.

 

 

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Finance or Business Administration.

 

 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE AND PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES

 

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant in field experience within FMCG
  • Demonstrable a clear understanding of channels, categories and customers
  • Proven experience in a commercial sales role, with strong commercial acumen.
  • An innovative mindset with a passion for continuous improvement.
