Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that effective stock control procedures are in place and adhered to.
• Perform regular cycle counts.
• Conduct monthly stock takes and ensure that the correct procedures are adhered to.
• Adhere to good housekeeping practices.
• Ensure that the warehouse is properly maintained.
• Manage slow moving/redundant stock effectively.
• Inform sales or marketing team of slow moving/redundant stock, weekly.
• Ensure that a high level of customer (External/internal) service is offered.
• Resolve customer complaints swiftly and efficiently.
• Reduce write- offs and losses to a minimum.
• Plan and control the effective assembly and dispatching of orders.
• Manage resources (people / machinery) effectively.
• Complete monthly reports accurately and timeously.
• Ensure all documentation is correctly completed and neatly filed.
• Compile and manage the Opex budget.
• Maintain and apply all QMS documentation.
• Ensure employee relations are effectively managed.
• Apply effective performance management.
• Ensure effective manpower planning.
• Hold regular review meetings.
• Ensure daily MDT meetings are held.
• Communicate with all departments (Sales, Marketing, Procurement, Export and Suppliers) on all merchandising related issues,
concerns and actions.
• Ensure that all checklists are completed as per the audit guideline.
• Follow the organizations policies and procedures and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
Job Requirements:
• Minimum Grade 12 (Matric) Qualification.
• A relevant certificate/ Diploma in Logistics, Distribution or Supply Chain will be an advantage.
• 3-5 years Warehouse management experience
• Good communication skills
• Good people skills
• Computer literacy, SAP, Microsoft Office
