Accountant Officer
JOB PURPOSE
Act in a customer service role, advising on and assisting with services such as Processing Customers & Tax payments, Allocation of customer payments and Matching customers invoice and payments to avoid any blockage.
Context
Accounting officers come up with plans that are necessary to keep the business progressive and profitable for the better achievement of the common goal.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACTIVITIES
- Answering enquiries from customers
- Effectively managing the service environment of the company
- Ensuring the high standard implementation of the company’s business strategies
- Supporting in the developing, implementing and meeting the business objectives
- Serve as one-point telephonic contact to customers on banking solutions.
- Handle people professionally.
- Investigate discrepancies in bank operations.
- Accuracy and attention to details
- To maintain good relationship with account relationship
- Assessing and reviewing financial circumstances
- Processing Suppliers payments and interbank transfer
- Allocation of customers payments to the target account.
- Maintaining statistical and financial records
- Dealing with complaints
- Keep an eye on details for better success
QUALIFICATION AND SKILLS
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or any other related field.
- 1 year of experience in Finance, particularly within the banking sector.
- Knowledge of bank operations, including local and international transfers.
- Proficiency in bank reconciliation.
- Highly driven and self-motivated approach, with the determination and ambition to succeed in a dynamic environment
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills with the ability and confidence to deal with people and challenges
- Good command of English and Kinyarwanda. French is an added advantage.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
- Be able to work in multi-cultural, multi-national and multi-lingual organization
- Excellent and effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Time Management and Organizational Skills
- High level of commitment and working with minimal supervision
- Must be proactive, reliable and able to pay keen attention to the smallest of details
