Title:  Business Controlling Manager

In this role, you will act as Finance Business  Partner to HR and senior management - combining analytical rigour with business understanding and the confidence to engage in meaningful, data driven conversations. 

We are looking for someone who can think in scenarios, understands the broader business context, and can translate numbers into decisions that truly shape how the company operates. 

What you will be responsible for 

• Ownership of planning, monitoring, and analysis of personnel costs & overheads and their impact on the organization’s financial performance. 

• Active participation in key financial processes, including short‑term forecasting, annual planning, and long‑term strategic planning, with full accountability for data quality, assumption logic, and P&L transparency. 

• Variance analysis and cost driver identification (Actual vs Forecast vs LY vs Budget) supported by clear conclusions and actionable business recommendations. 

• Review and challenge of budget assumptions and financial scenarios in close cooperation with HR and senior stakeholders, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategy. 

• Development of alternative scenarios and identification of risks and opportunities within the fixed‑cost base. 

• Ensuring financial and accounting integrity within the PE area including oversight of accruals, balance sheet reconciliations, collaboration with Heineken Global Shared Services, and support during internal/external audits. 

• Contributing to strategic and transformational projects including fixed cost optimisation, productivity initiatives, and global programmes. 

• Preparation of clear, insightful analyses and presentations for senior management to support informed business decisions. 

• Cross-functional collaboration with HR, Strategic Finance and other business functions to ensure consistency of financial plans with the organisation’s strategic direction. 

You’re a great fit if you: 

• Have at least 6 years of experience in Controlling or FP&A, including work in a senior or fully independent role. 

• Understand the dynamics and complexity of international environments. 

• Have a strong command of management and financial accounting, and easily navigate P&L and balance sheet topics. 

• Communicate fluently in English at C1 level or above. 

• Hold a degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. 

• Can build trusted, partnership based relationships with senior stakeholders and engage in constructive, substantive dialogue. 

• Think strategically and can connect short-term implications with long-term impact. 

• Demonstrate business acumen - understanding how operational decisions drive financial outcomes and knowing how to communicate this. 

• Are comfortable challenging assumptions based on data and proposing objective, well reasoned solutions. 

• Can identify risks and opportunities and model alternative scenarios. 

• Thrive in cross-functional environments (HR, Strategic Finance, Business functions). 

• Strong financial storytelling skills and the ability to craft concise, executive ready presentations. 

Nice to have: 

• Experience in FMCG or similarly complex, fastmoving environments. 

• Familiarity with SAP Finance and data visualisation tools such as Power BI.
