BRIEF DESCRIPTION

 

To support the Regional Sales Manager to ensure all channel strategies for Bougainville are effectively implemented, budgeted sales volumes achieved. Also establish and maintain an effective distributor and customer network to capture all volume opportunities. Visibility targets are obtained and managed through all local sales, marketing, logistics, and payment / AR & administration requirements. Liaise with bottle buyers to facilitate budgeted bottle returns and provide data collection & projects.

 

Main duties include:

  • Must demonstrate a preventative and proactive behavior towards safety and ensure adherence to all safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all safety audits are completed and fall within acceptable guidelines.
  • Identify and establish a distributor network and manage the general performance of customers within the assigned region.
  • Identify opportunities for placement of container stores / taverns to support route to market objectives.
  • Ensure established distributors and container operators comply with SPB agreement terms.
  • Ensure proper execution of customized promotions and local ground activities with post evaluation results.
  • Ensure all customers consistently carry the full SPB Portfolio of products.
  • Ensure that SPB recommended wholesale and retail pricing is compliant and in line with SPB indexed pricing guidelines.
  • Monitor product quality throughout the region and ensure that preventative plans and measures are in place to avoid issues.
  • Ensure that all sales reporting tasks are completed and submitted on time.
  • Develop outlet specific customer volume driving activities where required to enhance trade standards, sales and customers relationships.
  • Manage all aspects of local distribution & administration requirements.
  • Ensure that all parties (customer, customer service, credit, and logistics) are acutely aware of orders.
  • Manage closely the daily shipping schedule / vessel position reports to ensure timely order securing by reps, clearance through customer service and loading / dispatch by logistics to meet regional customer requirements.
  • Manage all POSM requirements for the region in conjunction with RSM / Marketing.
  • Provide market intelligence on competitor activities and threats to trading and submit detailed reports and evidence through to management.
  • Liaise with the Regional Provincial Police Commanders and Regional Provincial Liquor Licensing executives in relevant matters as required by the Corporate Affairs Manager.
  • Work with bottle buyers to locate and collect targeted volume of recycled bottles for return to SP Brewery.
  • Co-ordinate information collection and processing with respective stakeholders
  • Ensure the company’s CBE assets are utilized effectively by having the correct equipment in each outlet to maximize sales of cold beer.
  • In conjunction with the Trade Services Manager coordinates the requirements for repairs of CBE and ensures preventative maintenance work is completed.
  • Plan all forward CBE requirements by brand / model to meet assigned territory requirements.
  • Ensure that all container and pop-up stores within assigned territory are being utilized effectively and delivering profitable returns for the business – this includes management around rentals, CBE, licensing, generators, and additional equipment.

 

Qualification and Experience:

  • 2-3 years’ experience working in FMCG.
  • Current class 3/6 driver’s license
  • Strong communications & planning skills
  • Previous experience working in Bougainville.
