We are seeking an experienced and capable HR Services Manager to lead the delivery of high‑quality HR services across the organization. This role plays a critical part in establishing and maintaining effective people policies, ensuring compliance with employment legislation, and supporting the business to attract, develop, and retain a high‑performing workforce.
Main duties include:
- Managing and implementing HR policies and practices to ensure consistency, fairness, and compliance with employment legislation
- Providing expert advice to managers and employees on HR matters, including recruitment, disciplinary processes, grievances, and policy interpretation
- Maintaining and coordinating the company salary and benefits programs, including salary recommendations for recruitment, promotion, and appointments
- Administering payroll and ensuring employee benefits and entitlements are accurately monitored and managed
- Managing workforce planning, monitoring manpower and labor costs against budget, and reporting variances with recommended solutions
- Preparing and managing HR services budgets, including payroll and expatriate‑related costs
- Supporting employee relations by facilitating dispute resolution and recommending practical solutions to workplace issues
- Driving continuous improvement initiatives to enhance HR service delivery, productivity, and customer response times
- Acting in the absence of the HR Manager to ensure continuity of HR Services operations
- Work with HEINEKEN Rewards team to participate in salary surveys and interpret market trends to ensure SP Brewery's salaries remain market competitive.
- Identify opportunities to enhance rewards strategies and HR systems, emphasizing data quality's role in daily HR processes.
Qualifications & Experience:
- University degree in Human Resource Management, Business Management, Economics, Psychology, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 5-10 years’ experience in the FMCG companies is preferable.
- Proficiency in Excel and experience with Power Apps are essential. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in using advanced Excel functions for data analysis and reporting, as well as have hands-on experience in developing and managing solutions with Power Apps to streamline workflows and enhance productivity.
- Strong understanding of payroll processes, employee benefits, and compensation.
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting.
- Strong understanding of HR policies, employment legislation, and best‑practice HR service delivery.
- Excellent collaboration skills across departments.
- Familiarity with PNG labor laws and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with HR systems like SuccessFactors and PowerBI is a plus.
