We have an immediate requirement for Engineering Manager, reporting to the Brewery Manager –Pom.

The incumbent will ensure reliability, availability and capability of production equipment and supply of utilities, drive engineering work processes and continuous improvement of PM, manage engineering resources in relation to output and manage assigned capital expenditures

Main Duties will include:

• Responsible for the effective implementation of the company Preventive Maintenance Strategy (HACS), including the roll-out and optimization of planned maintenance activities to reduce the number of breakdowns and minor stops resulting in improved line reliability and performance.
• Responsible for immediate support needed by Production to address unplanned downtimes, i.e. Machine Breakdown, and bring the machine back to operations the quickest time possible.
• Responsible for reduction of unplanned downtime by applying Structured fault-finding routines, i.e. Breakdown Analysis (BDA) and RCFAs.
• Liaise with production to plan up time and down time of machines in a way that all SKU’s can be produced as planned.
• Identify and resolve operational limitations, such as design speed of Packaging Machines, pasteurization level, quality of delivered utilities, etc.
• Responsible for the consistent and reliable production of utilities, i.e. Electricity, Steam, Compressed Air, Water, CO2, Cooling Medium.
• Responsible for the effective and accurate measurement and reporting of Energy and Water consumption to consumers and ensure proper consumption deployments are followed and shared with stakeholders.
• Drive all PM processes for work identification, planning, preparation, execution, evaluation and improvement. Key processes are: Tagging, PM day, CILT support, Break Down Analysis, Overhaul
• Manage human resources, tools, and ensure that Repair and Maintenance Budgets are according to annual plan.
• Responsible for capital expenditures assigned to the engineering department, including all related administration and operational ‘roll in’ (documentation, training, spare parts, PM system, etc.)
• Responsible for the strict management of spare parts inventory, including accurate stock count reporting; Ensures that material enrollment processes are followed according to the company financial policy.

Qualification & Experience:

• University or Technical Institute
• Major in Engineering
• 8 -10 years’ experience with;

1. Relevant equipment (utilities, beer production, packaging)
2. Engineering Management

• Broad knowledge engineering in different trades: mechanical, electrical, automation, instrumentation
• Experience working with Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS)
• Broad knowledge in different types of machinery: power generation, power distribution, compressor, cooling systems, water and wastewater treatment, steam systems, filtration systems, pumps, valves, filling, labeling, packing, conveying.
• Maintenance Engineering skills: setup of PM standards, setup computerized maintenance management system
• Change Management, Leadership, Analytical, Shop floor oriented, Communication with management and shop floor
• Experience working in Brewery or Food and Beverage Company
