Planned Maintenance Team Lead - Lae
We have an immediate requirement for a Planned Maintenance Team Lead, based in Lae, reporting to the Engineering Manager. The Planned Maintenance Team Lead is responsible for ensuring proper planning and preparation for planned maintenance work and ensuring all planned maintenance are executed in a timely manner. Also ensuring that optimized spare parts availability.
Main Duties will include:
- Ensures all planned jobs are safely executed OTIF.
- Ensures all planned jobs are executed OTIF with the required quality.
- Supervises and coordinates all planned work in execution and if required co-executes/helps/supports.
- Conducts Tagging if required or appropriate.
- Leads/manages the preventive maintenance execution team.
- Ensures proper team alignment and is responsible for the performance and technical development of the team (i.e. including performance evaluations/reviews, coaching and mentoring).
- Coordinates proper handover between operations and maintenance for all planned maintenance jobs.
- Ensures proper coordination and handover for spares from and to the spare parts store.
- Aligns planning with Packaging & Brewing.
- Establishes or sets up weekly/monthly/annual maintenance routines (CILT, PM days, PM tasks, Overhauls).
- Balances CILT vs Planned Maintenance.
- Supports the application of 5S and VM to enable sustainability of machine performance.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment history. Ensures implementation for the work preparation room and site wide lubrication management.
- Procures materials required for AM.
- Support or lead root cause analysis (RCA) for breakdowns.
- Apply Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to improve equipment uptime and reliability.
- Use CMMS/TMP modules to track performance, downtime, work orders and KPIs.
- Supports the application of 5S and VM to enable sustainability of machine performance.
- Supports ME in deployment of loss and maintenance cost on the shop floor (help establish PDCA-process).
Qualifications & Experience:
- Preferably bachelor’s in mechanical engineering.
- 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance and/or operations executions
- 2+ years in supervisory role with good people experience
- Preferably a Maintenance Team Lead/Supervisor or Engineer.
- Ample experience in 5S and good workmanship
- General knowledge of workflow management, supply and inventory management processes.
