Business Development Manager - Bay of Plenty, Rotorua, and Coromandel

Location: Bay of Plenty/ Rotorua/Coromandel, New Zealand

  • An exciting opportunity to become part of one of the world’s leading beer companies, joining our high performing National On-Premise team.
  • Reporting into the regional On-Premise field sales manager you will also be supported by a team of on-premise specialists, as well as a wider commercial team of marketing, finance, procurement and sales execution experts.
  • Drive sales and visibility of iconic brands, including Heineken, Tiger, Tuatara, Monteiths, and Export, through strategic customer plans and partnerships in the hospitality (on-premise) channel. 

 

About This Role…

As a Business Development Manager, you will collaborate closely with hospitality operators in the Bay of Plenty and Rotorua region to deliver mutually beneficial growth plans and achieve executional excellence. You will play a pivotal role in enhancing DB's market presence, share, and volume in the region.

You will possess a thorough understanding of our brands, your customers, and their consumers, leveraging sales and marketing tools to foster mutual growth tailored to each venue. Additionally, you will be motivated and driven to grow your territory, identifying new opportunities for DB pourage and own the onboarding and development of new customers.

 

About You...

The hospitality industry is both dynamic and fast-paced; to thrive in this role, you must be a passionate and driven self-starter with the ability to connect effectively both internally and externally. Your previous customer management roles should demonstrate a genuine enthusiasm for understanding the unique needs of customers and their consumers, a proven track record of achieving commercial results, and delivering with excellence.

 

What you'll bring with you

  • A tertiary qualification in Business, Hospitality, FMCG, or Customer Service (preferred but not essential).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office – Team, Excel, Power Point as well as experience using CRM systems (preferred but not essential)
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Proven sales experience; hospitality experience is preferred but not essential.
  • An energetic, proactive attitude.
