Activation Merchandiser - Marlborough (part time)

Location: Nelson
Function: Commerce
Sub-Function: Commerce - Sales - Wholesale
Type of Contract: Permanent

  • Your entry point to a career in sales with DB
  • Join an iconic brand and a team who’ll support your development

Our Activation Merchandisers play a big part in maintaining our world-class standards and keeping our customers and consumers happy.  This 'grass roots' role will introduce you to the world of FMCG and sales where you'll gain an understanding of our industry and develop the skills you need to succeed.  We’re really well known for providing career advancement to people who live our values, show the drive and commitment, and deliver on expectations so, if you want it, a career trajectory is available to you at DB!

As an Activation Merchandiser, you'll be the face of DB/Heineken's image in the grocery market, so you’ll need to be someone who can build strong relationships and take a customer-centric approach.  You may already have merchandising experience, although this isn’t essential… it’s more important to us that you take pride in your work, have a positive outlook and that you’re resilient, reliable and self-motivated.

The role requires reasonable physical fitness as you’ll be building displays, filling shelves and organising stock meaning some heavy lifting is required.  You’ll need a full, clean New Zealand driver's licence and reliable transport in order to visit our customers around the Marlborough region.

Your hours of work revolve around customer needs, so your 25 hour week will be worked Thursday to Monday (Tuesday and Wednesday will be your weekend), with 5.30am starts aside from a 9am start on Sundays.

To meet the expectations of our customers (some of which have vaccination policies that require our team to be fully vaccinated), we can only consider applicants who have been fully vaccinated against COVID-19.  As things change, we will continue to review and test our practices to ensure we are taking all practicable steps to ensure the health and safety of our people, contractors, customers, and communities.

As an equal opportunity employer, we’re committed to sustaining a welcoming, inclusive and diverse workplace as we know that diverse views make great brews.  We brew the joy of true togetherness to inspire a better world and a big part of that means brewing better people with the heart of our company in our four values:

  • Passion for consumers and customers
  • Care for people and planet
  • Enjoyment of life
  • Courage to dream and pioneer

Sound like the place for you?  Apply now… we look forward to meeting you.

If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at the time of application to assist you through the recruitment process.

At HEINEKEN, we brew great beers and we build great brands. We are committed to surprising and exciting our consumers and employees everywhere. We have a proud history and heritage in brewing and in our communities. With operations in over 70 markets globally, we are the world's most international brewer.  https://careers.theheinekencompany.com
