About this job…


DB embarked on a digital transformation journey in 2021 and your role as Service Consultant – Applications will be to further enable the business by ensuring our technology solutions are delivering great outcomes.  Your key focus will be the effective management of vendor relationships, ensuring issues are appropriately identified, escalated and resolved in accordance with SLAs, while maintaining strong, credible connections with your internal customers across our supply chain, sales and corporate teams.


In a perfect world, you’d come from a senior application support or service desk leadership role where you’ll know ITIL inside-out, be an experienced and effective vendor manager, and bring with you strong root cause analysis and technical expertise to accurately guide and drive our suppliers.  However, we’re also open to non-technical people who can understand ‘as built’ documentation, are comfortable with changing technology, have excellent communication and relationship management skills, and can demonstrate a drive to achieve great results for internal customers via third parties.  It would help if you’ve worked as part of a global business previously and understand the hierarchies that sometimes exist when making technology decisions, and an understanding of the FMCG manufacturing sector would be useful but isn’t essential.
