At DB Breweries, we’re on a bold digital journey — and we’re looking for a commercially savvy Product Owner – Digital Core (Internal title: Product Architect - Digital Core) to lead some of our most critical technology initiatives. From enabling digital routes to market, to shaping the future of our connected brewery and SAP landscape, you’ll be at the forefront of building platforms that power how we operate, sell, and grow. In this role, you’ll own the architecture and delivery of Digital Core and platform products — including our on-premise portal, mobile point of sale (mPOS), the SAP carve-out, ongoing SAP support, connected brewery initiatives, and other solution vendor coordination. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams, balancing user needs with business goals, while ensuring our platforms are scalable, intuitive, and commercially effective.
Key Accountabilities:
- Business & Commercial Requirement Analysis – Work with stakeholders across sales, operations, and IT to capture and translate requirements into platform features that deliver real business value.
- Solution Architecture & Design – Define scalable, secure, and maintainable technical solutions aligned with business and commercial goals.
- Project Execution & Governance – Lead delivery across projects, managing timelines, budgets, and stakeholder expectations. Ensure alignment with regional and APAC HUB teams and standards.
- Testing & Optimisation – Validate solutions through usability testing and ensure continual improvement post-launch, based on user feedback and business needs.
- Stakeholder & Vendor Engagement – Build strong relationships with internal teams and external vendors to drive coordinated delivery and solution integration.
- Continuous Improvement & Knowledge Sharing – Mentor team members, promote innovation, and champion platform excellence across the business.
Your background and experience:
- Education & Technical Expertise – Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field, with a strong background in microservices, ERP, and e-commerce.
- Information Architecture & Design – Ability to develop intuitive architectures, create high-level models, and translate business goals into scalable, user-centric solutions.
- Commercial & Digital Experience – Experience working on commercially impactful digital solutions, particularly in ERP (SAP), e-commerce, and/or sales tools.
- Agile & SCRUM Experience – Proven ability to work in Agile environments, leveraging SCRUM methodologies and relevant tools for efficient product development.
- Problem-Solving & Stakeholder Influence – Strong analytical skills to solve complex problems, collaborate across teams, and drive business-aligned technology solutions.
- Adaptability & Innovation – Ability to quickly learn new technologies, adapt to different teams, and develop innovative capabilities in a fast-changing environment.
- Business Acumen & Leadership – Strong understanding of business operations and strategy, with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive impactful product decisions.
You’ll join a team where your contributions will shape the digital and commercial backbone of one of New Zealand’s most loved brands. With a future-focused culture, strong benefits, and a drive to innovate — now’s the perfect time to be part of the DB story.
