About the role

As National Sales Manager – Grocery, you’ll own the Grocery channel P&L and strategy, leading a high‑performing KAM team and building strong partnerships with major retailers to drive sustainable, profitable growth through best‑in‑class execution.

As a member of the wider Executive Leadership Team (ELT), you’ll work cross‑functionally to deliver our key strategic priorities and help shape both the direction and the way the business operates. You’ll also be a key member of the Sales Leadership team (SLT), setting the standard for leadership, collaboration, and performance across the Sales function.

 

What you’ll be doing:

  • Own the total Grocery P&L, driving revenue growth, margin delivery, investment discipline, and return on investment
  • Develop and execute the Grocery channel strategy, aligned to business priorities, customer needs, and long-term growth ambitions
  • Lead national negotiations, JBPs, and strategic initiatives across major grocery retailers
  • Drive excellence in ranging, pricing, promotions, and innovation execution across the channel
  • Lead, coach and develop a high-performing Head Office KAM team, building capability and a performance culture
  • Play an active role on the Sales Leadership Team (SLT), working cross‑functionally to deliver strategic priorities and help shape the direction, culture, and performance of the Sales function.

 

What you’ll bring:

  • Significant senior commercial experience in FMCG Grocery, with proven success across multiple major grocery retailers
  • Demonstrated ownership of a large, complex P&L at a national or channel level
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing KAM teams
  • Strong track record in national negotiations, JBPs, and strategic customer management
  • Resilience and agility - comfortable leading through change, pricing pressure, and competitive environments
  • Proven success in driving cross‑functional alignment to deliver key commercial KPIs, including forecast accuracy, trade promotion management (TPM) discipline, executional excellence and invoice and pricing governance
  • Experience in enabling executional excellence through the field — providing the right tools, insights, and clarity to teams outside of your direct reporting line, to ensure strategy is translated into outstanding in‑store execution
