Brewery Technician - Packaging

Location: Auckland
Function: Supply Chain
Sub-Function: Supply Chain - Production
Type of Contract: Permanent

  • Great career development opportunity if you've completed trade training, an apprenticeship or a degree in engineering.

  • We'll provide all the training and support you need to succeed.

  • Salary + bonus, great employee benefits and a welcoming, fun team.

When you join DB, you become part of the HEINEKEN family, one of the largest beer and cider brewing companies in the world.  With more than 250 brands in 70 countries, we’re behind many Kiwis’ favourite brews – probably even yours.  So things just got very interesting for your career...

As a Brewery Technician in our Packaging & Maintenance team, your ultimate goal is to make sure our operations, processes and equipment are delivering beverages and packaging that meet strict quality standards and look great when they reach customers.  You'll join a committed, busy team who carry out basic mechanical work, lab testing, get involved in continuous improvement initiatives and everything in between… it’s an interesting and rewarding role if you’re interested (or have skills) in mechanics, electrical, production, continuous improvement, and process engineering.  We'll help you develop the skills and knowledge for a future career within our Supply Chain team.  It can be a complex place to work with multiple changeovers, but it also comes with the excitement of new product development and the chance to learn from some of the best people in the business.

As we mentioned, this is an ideal role for someone who's recently completed trade training, a trade apprenticeship or a degree in engineering.  You'll have a strong interest in brewing and, ideally, a bit of mechnical know-how.  Enthusiasm, energy, resilience, a desire to add value and learn will also take you a long way.

As part of our Supply Chain team, you’ll enjoy a fun team environment, with enthusiastic people who care about a good drop. We value innovation and individuality – it’s a place where you can feel free to be yourself, and be confident to share your ideas about how we can be even better. And sustainability’s a key part of how we do business, because we believe DB can be a positive force for change.  And as part of our aspiration to be the best place to work in NZ, we offer you:

  • Base salary plus an annual performance bonus.

  • Health, life and income protection insurances.

  • Professional development and training.

  • Monthly product allowance – yes, free beer!

  • A supportive, high performing team environment.

  • ‘Enjoyment of Life’ leave.

  • Free car parking.

At DB, we brew the joy of true togetherness to inspire a better world.  A big part of that means brewing better people with the heart of our company in our four values:

  • Passion for consumers and customers

  • Care for people and planet

  • Enjoyment of life

  • Courage to dream and pioneer

We’re continuing our journey to becoming an inclusive workplace as we know that diverse views make great brews, and we support flexible working that meets the needs of our people and the business.

DB Breweries is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) and we’re committed to providing a working environment that embraces and values diversity and inclusion.  If you have any support or access requirements, we encourage you to advise us at the time of application to assist you through the recruitment process.

Sound like the place for you?  Apply now… we look forward to meeting you.
