Tax Manager

Your role in HEINEKEN

As a Tax Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing tax reporting, planning, and compliance across the organisation. You will ensure accurate tax filings, optimise the company’s cash tax position, and minimise tax risks while maintaining full compliance with local regulations and corporate requirements. You will also act as a key advisor to internal stakeholders and manage relationships with tax authorities, ensuring smooth audits and regulatory engagements.

 

In this role, you will also

  • Lead end-to-end tax reporting, planning, and compliance activities, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with regulatory requirements
  • Drive optimisation of the company’s cash tax position by identifying tax-saving opportunities and improving forecasting accuracy
  • Oversee the preparation and submission of corporate tax and withholding tax filings, ensuring full compliance and minimising risks or penalties
  • Provide expert advisory on tariff classification for excise and import duties to ensure accurate tax treatment and cost efficiency
  • Ensure compliance with transfer pricing regulations, including preparation and submission of required documentation to tax authorities
  • Advise the business on pricing mechanisms in line with the Price Control and Anti-Profiteering Act, ensuring no regulatory breaches
  • Partner closely with Corporate Affairs and Legal teams by providing technical tax insights to support business decisions and regulatory positioning
  • Act as the functional owner of tax systems, ensuring data accuracy, integrity, and effective use of ERP systems for tax processes
  • Lead and manage tax audits and inquiries, ensuring smooth engagements and building strong, professional relationships with tax authorities
  • Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate tax risks across the organisation while ensuring compliance with evolving local legislation
  • Support strategic tax planning initiatives, including tax incentives, cross-border transactions, and business transformation activities
  • Contribute to digital transformation initiatives such as e-invoicing and ERP enhancements, acting as a key tax subject matter expert
  • Provide guidance on tax-related operational matters across departments to ensure consistent and compliant practices

 

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; professional tax qualification is an advantage
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in finance, with 6–7 years in tax consultancy or in-house tax roles
  • Strong knowledge of corporate tax, indirect tax, transfer pricing, and local tax regulations
  • Experience in tax advisory, compliance, and tax planning
  • Familiarity with IFRS and ability to translate tax knowledge into practical recommendations
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, and able to manage complex tax matters
  • Experience with ERP systems and tax data management
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and results-driven mindset
