Senior RMG Manager - APAC Hub

Act as the Revenue Margin Growth Manager for 2 OpCos in the region

  • Generate strategic / growth related insights
  • Support MT to shape SP/AP growth priorities & translate them it into actionable RMG initiatives and identify enablers to support it
  • Shape RMG execution

Generate strategic / growth related insights

  • Run 4C analysis and RMG lever deep dives
  • Generate insights & hypothesis for SP/AP
  • Evaluate initiatives post-mortem
  • Derive learnings from past actions

 

Support MT to shape SP/AP growth priorities & translate them into actionable RMG initiatives and identify enablers to support it

  • Identify, articulate, quantify and prioritize initiatives (bottom up analysis – from.. To....) supporting commercial strategy in the light of market environment (5C) incl.
      • Price/ PPA: Defining pricing strategy/ plan for next year both at brand and SKU level, incl updating new list customer price (and std discount) and recommended retail price across SKU at channel x region x SKU (when relevant)
      • Mix: Defining planogram changes and setting availability plan & targets for Hero SKU by priority (sub) channel x tier as well as defining new pack launches
      • Promotion: Defining key promotion investment shifts – translated into promotion plan & investment by brand x pack x channel x region x months (when relevant) and translated into promo scheme guardrails/guidelines 
      • Trade terms:
        • Revisiting distributor investment strategy to support efficiency (e.g. Logictic/ finance) or drive growth (e.g. Acquisition of new outlet / commercial activation)
        • Defining key investment shift - incl (1) revisiting investment allocation across customers (tiers)/ channel, investment (2) adjusting P4P scheme and investment level to support commercial strategy (3) adjusting  min standard of conditionality 

Shape RMG execution

  • Recommend capability roadmap
  • Develop RMG plans across levers
  • Drive RMG drumbeat

 

Build capability in the OpCo

  • Contribute/ design / develop / deploy specific capability elements within his/her OpCo (e.g. new trackers, revised process, academy workshop)

 

 

Knowledge and Experience

Education Requirements: University degree in Economics/Business Management – or equivalent relevant professional experience – MBA a plus

 

Language Requirements: Excellent speaking and writing in English

 

Experience requirements:

  • Preferred background in but not limited to Marketing & Sales, Consulting, Finance
  • Min of 7 year of professional experience with min
    • 3 years of commercial & analytics experience, preferably in FMCG or retail
    • 3 years in a RMG function or equivalent - deep experience in RM (if consultant)
    • 3 years in a OpCo in the region

    • Strong strategic analytical skills – ability to review complex, ambiguous/incomplete data, pulling out key insights
    • Commercial acumen: understanding customer landscape and how to get RM insights translated to shop floor

 

Driving skills

    • Prioritization skills to apply herself/himself & team to where it makes most impact and remain agile to changing circumstances
    • Passion for delivering result, take ownership and translating insights into concise practical plans for execution

 

People & stakeholder management skills

    • Strong interpersonal/communication/influencing skills to win support and drive decision making at MT level, building rapport with local commerce community, driving alignment of hub priorities, and creating visibility of progress
    • Ability to evolve in matrix environment.
    • Experience in a remote role ( a plus)

 

Communication skills

    • Ability to visually present analysis, key insights, facts & figures in a compelling way; tailor content to audience

 

Experience

    • Experience of Nielsen/IRI/POS data & panel data (Kantar/GfK)
    • Confident with big data; strong with excel and other data software
    • Familiar with both modern and traditional trade environment
