Manager - Procurement
Your role in HEINEKEN
As a Manager – Procurement, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end source-to-contract process in line with Heineken Group Procurement’s operating models (Center Led, Centre of Excellence, and Local), with a focus on cost savings, vendor development, contract compliance, and continuous process improvement. It includes implementing category strategies set by HGP leaders, monitoring supplier contracts and KPIs, and resolving operational issues to ensure performance and compliance. You will develop and execute purchasing action plans for local categories to secure competitive advantage in cost efficiency, supply security, safety, and innovation across business services, HR, SIT, and commercial functions. A key part of the role is building and leading a high-performing procurement team, optimizing sourcing processes, and driving efficiencies. The position also ensures governance, business continuity, regulatory compliance, and effective procure-to-pay operations, while fulfilling material and service requirements for Marketing, Sales, and other functions through supplier sourcing, evaluation, negotiation, and vendor management using Heineken’s global sourcing tools.
In this role, you will…
- Lead the source-to-contract process, ensuring cost savings, vendor development, contract compliance, and continuous improvement of procurement processes in line with Heineken Global Procurement standards.
- Implement category strategies from Heineken Global Procurement (HGP) leaders, monitor supplier contracts and KPIs, and resolve operational issues to ensure compliance and performance.
- Develop and execute purchasing action plans for local categories, balancing cost efficiency, supply security, safety, and innovation across commercial, business services, HR, and SIT categories.
- Build, develop, and lead a high-performing procurement team, fostering collaboration, setting metrics, and optimizing sourcing and supplier activities.
- Oversee governance and compliance programs, including ICFR and procure-to-pay processes, to safeguard company assets and ensure regulatory compliance.
- Manage the full procurement cycle—from planning and sourcing to supplier evaluation and negotiation—for Marketing, Sales, and support functions, leveraging Heineken’s global sourcing tools.
- Achieve procurement benefits through cost efficiency (cash-out savings), support cash flow improvement with local suppliers, and actively drive contract management, supplier evaluation, and innovation initiatives.
- Strengthen stakeholder engagement by serving as a trusted interface between suppliers and internal stakeholders, and continuously improving procurement and procure-to-pay processes.
- Lead vendor negotiations and supplier management to drive continuous improvements, support new product introductions (NPI), cost value engineering (CVE), and other business initiatives.
Key requirements:
- Education: Undergraduate degree in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience: Minimum 5–7 years in the FMCG industry with procurement or supply chain management experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial procurement role.
- Language: Strong proficiency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of local languages is a plus.

- Indirect procurement (IT, HR, Marketing, Consulting, Facilities, Legal, Travel)
- Strategic sourcing, category management, and vendor selection/SRM
- Cost optimization, RFP/RFI/RFQ management, and contract negotiation (MSAs, SLAs, SoWs)
- ERP/procurement systems (SAP, Ariba, Coupa)
- Risk management, compliance, and stakeholder engagement
- Functional Competencies: Strong analytical skills, team player, proven leadership and collaboration ability, results-driven, innovative, and customer-focused.
