Manager - Procurement

Your role in HEINEKEN

As a Manager - Procurement, you will be responsible for managing commercial-related procurement categories such as media, events, consumer insights, and promotional materials. It involves strategizing the annual category spend through cost analysis, process improvements, and efficient sourcing, while engaging business stakeholders collaboratively and maintaining strict confidentiality. The position leads procurement initiatives at global, regional, and local levels, ensuring compliance with Heineken policies. Operationally, it drives procurement efficiencies, manages the full RFP/RFQ cycle, and supports business needs while ensuring supplier compliance with global standards and sustainability KPIs. Strong leadership is essential to manage a team and deliver impactful results.

Cash Out / Procurement Benefits

  • Initiate and lead cost-saving projects.
  • Negotiate pricing and perform price comparisons to achieve procurement savings based on benchmarks, budget, or cost avoidance targets.
  • Ensure savings are delivered within the required timeline.

Contract Management

  • Source and manage contracts for high-value spending.
  • Lead contract lifecycle management, including negotiation with key suppliers.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Conduct regular Supplier Performance Reviews with key suppliers and internal business users to ensure alignment and quality of service.

Innovation / New Product Introduction (Commercial)

  • Monitor delivery of goods related to new products or innovations.
  • Conduct monthly reviews of open Purchase Orders (POs) with relevant business units to ensure timely closure and follow-up.


Key Requirements:

Education & Field of Study

  • Degree holder in Procurement & Supply Chain Management or related field.
  • Knowledge of procurement practices, indirect purchasing, demand markets, and negotiation concepts.
  • Background in Advertising and Marketing is also relevant.

 

Experience

  • Minimum 5–7 years of working experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Experience in marketing or corporate services procurement is an added advantage.
  • FMCG industry experience is a plus.

Technical Knowledge & Skills

  • Proficient in SAP (MM module).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong understanding of budgetary processes and financial management.
  • Familiar with shipping processes and Incoterms.
  • Competent in supplier relationship management.
