Assistant Manager - Procurement

Main responsibilities

  • Manage the Request for Proposal (RFP)/Request for Quotation (RFQ) process, including identifying the sourcing parameters and supplier pool, compile bids and analyse key areas of cost drivers and propose winning bid with justification for general purchases or projects.
  • Manage the complete purchasing process in a compliant and business flexible manner and provide optimal support to business to resolve procurement challenges.  This also includes undertaking full responsibility for statutory requirements in the procurement process.
  • Assist in the sourcing process which includes conducting market research, preparing vendor price/service comparison analysis, identifying potential vendors, managing the competitive bidding process, negotiating commercial terms, and driving procurement projects to contract execution.
  • Ensure supplier management is in line with Heineken Global Standard in terms of Supplier Code, Contract Compliance, Supplier Coding and Supplier’s Business Sustainability; at the same time to meet Opco’s KPIs on these criteria.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure the budgets are met and cost efficiencies targets delivered.
  • Carry out supplier performance assessment (monthly/quarterly)
  • Conducting monthly spent analysis and excellent data analytics.


Key Requirements

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree with relevant experience

  • Minimum 4-5 years of working experience in Procurement or Supply Chain functions.

  • Experience in Engineering, Plant and Spare Parts will be added advantage.

  • Ability to communicate, negotiate and influence at all levels.
