Shift Assistant Manager - Warehouse

Monitoring on directs warehousing day-to-day activities e.g. receiving and unloading shipments (GR PM/RM), issuance to PKG, PMTR/backflush OTIF, GR FG/confirm figure, FG putaway, picking accuracy, PGI OTIF and inventory control/accuracy in a cost-effective way, ensuring adherence to applicable Quality, Safety and Custom regulations by :-
- Preparing data/report on monitoring and establishing data for warehouse performance management
- Confers with shift managers to ensure coordination of warehouse activities on developing, implementing, and driving for process improvements
- OpCo Logistics Pillar member to support deployment and form team for continuous improvement
- Effective warehouse data analysis and action plans rollout for warehouse excellence in a cost-effective way
- Ensures processes and procedures are compliant with the company and legal guidelines
- Encourages teamwork within the workforce to ensure set productivity targets are met which OTIF is being closely monitored
- Conduct job observations on process efficiency and team productivity, to provide feedback on actual performance against standards
- Maintain safe work environment through coaching, training and adhered to consistently
- Practice 5S all the time on the shop floor regularly providing warehouse status updates to management
- To establish collaboration with 3PL by setting and manages KPI to achieve high standards of service levels
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced and ever-changing environment with constant shifting priorities as leadership team direction
- This position is required to work in shift (3 shift) – from 6am to 2pm, 2pm to 10pm, 10pm to 6am.
Role Fit Criticality: (please note what are the specific impact or area that this role is needed)
- The Warehouse manager team has 4 HC (2 Manager & 2 Assistant Manager) which is required to rotate their shift (*one manager & one assistant manager tender recently). So, 2 persons in the morning, 2 persons in the afternoon. Which each of the shift require to perform continuous monitoring warehouse overall operation, monitoring the project status, monitoring 3PL operation & any ad hoc support during peak season. All these to support 24 hours of production run and make sure the operation run smoothly. If 2 manager works for 2 shifts, it will having issue to cover and monitoring overall warehouse operation and project. Especially for project, manager are require more time and commitment to catch up with the project time line.
- Due to peak order volumes in the second half of the year, failure to fill this vacancy will result in delays for production fulfilment and potential impact productivity if the issue occur. And the project will pilling up to catch with the given timeline.
- Immediate recruitment is necessary to onboard the new hire before the peak season at the end of Q3 and Q4
- The vacancy arises from the current warehouse assistant manager resign and require replacement for the position.
