Manager - External Affairs
Your role at HEINEKEN
In this role, you will:
- Develop and implement strategic plans to build and sustain cordial and long-term relationship with key Government stakeholders.
- Engage national and local legislators and regulators on policy and regulatory matters that impacts HEINEKEN’s business.
- Monitor, analyse and interpret developments in politics and Government policies and proposed changes to law and advise senior management on how these trends may impact HEINEKEN’s business interests.
- Actively participate in Trade Bodies like CMBB, FMM, MICCI to effectively channel industry and HEINEKEN’s interests to the Government and other stakeholders.
- Develop, manage and implement brand protection strategies in line with HEINEKEN’s intellectual property right, policies and direction.
- Able to prepare position papers on issues and write letters in both English and Bahasa Malaysia to the Government and other relevant stakeholders.
Key requirements:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Law, Politics, Commerce, Economics, Business, Mass Communication
- At least 10 years experience in external affairs or a role which requires engagement with Government authorities
- Good understanding of local scenario on politics, Government policies and related laws
- Strong inter-personal skills and able to work and interact effectively in a team-based environment
- Versatile, organized, result-oriented and enjoy the challenge of working in a competitive and fast paced environment.
