Manager - External Affairs

Your role at HEINEKEN

In this role, you will:

• Develop and implement strategic plans to build and sustain cordial and long-term relationship with key Government stakeholders.
• Engage national and local legislators and regulators on policy and regulatory matters that impacts HEINEKEN’s business.
• Monitor, analyse and interpret developments in politics and Government policies and proposed changes to law and advise senior management on how these trends may impact HEINEKEN’s business interests.
• Actively participate in Trade Bodies like CMBB, FMM, MICCI to effectively channel industry and HEINEKEN’s interests to the Government and other stakeholders.
• Develop, manage and implement brand protection strategies in line with HEINEKEN’s intellectual property right, policies and direction.
• Able to prepare position papers on issues and write letters in both English and Bahasa Malaysia to the Government and other relevant stakeholders. 

Key requirements: 

• Bachelor or Master’s degree in Law, Politics, Commerce, Economics, Business, Mass Communication 
• At least 10 years experience in external affairs or a role which requires engagement with Government authorities
• Good understanding of local scenario on politics, Government policies and related laws
• Strong inter-personal skills and able to work and interact effectively in a team-based environment
• Versatile, organized, result-oriented and enjoy the challenge of working in a competitive and fast paced environment.
