Demand Planning Manager

Demand planning is a key process in translating the market requirements into a feasible demand plan for the company. By establishing a proper demand planning process, the company can maximize the customer service level while optimizing its resources and achieve its revenue, profit and cash target according to plan. Maintaining an accurate forecast process also enable Supply Chain to supply stocks with minimal write-off.

 

Plan and drive company sales turnover volume (Ex-Brew Volume) based on market demand and forecast. Track actual market sell-out vs annual plan. Concurrently providing forecast information to Supply Chain for production planning and inventory optimisation. Key jobs are listed below :

  • Lead the demand plan preparation and contribute to the demand review meeting within the S&OP cycle by delivering timely and accurate information.
  • Centralize the information flow related to the demand planning process (single point of contact)
  • Host and facilitate monthly alignment meetings for forecast enrichment by marketing, trade marketing & sales regions.
  • Host and facilitate monthly Demand Review Meeting
  • Ensure FM (Forecast System) systems for both Demand Sell-out module and Demand Sell-in module are well maintained and updated as well as to be the go-to person if Sales Regions need any support on FM Sales Input work screen.
  • Advise the Head of Commercial Operations in quarterly Sales and Distributors Targets (both Ex-D and Ex-B).
  • Lead and update weekly sales trending vs. forecast (both Ex-B and Ex-D) during the weekly Demand & Supply meeting à to influence subsequent week’s production plan if necessary.
  • Lead and support Customer Service in clearing aged stock (Red Zone) stocks at brewery inventory by escalating to Trade Marketing/Brand Marketing/Sales team for action plans. Helps to reduce substantial write-off impact to company’s profitability.
  • Key liaison person between Commercial, Supply Planning & Customer Service from planning to shipment of SKUs & NPIs
  • Advise the Head of Commercial Operations in LE, AP and SP budget planning.
  • Support Supply Chain TPM projects and Customer Service on VMI.

 

 

 

Key Requirements:-

 

  • Degree holder as minimum or equivalent diploma in Finance, Business, Mathematics, Economic.
  • 4-5 years’ experience in planning & strategy role, ideally have experience in leading in a demand planning role for 1-2 year(s) in either in the capacity of an Executive/Assistant Manager level.
  • Advanced skill on MS Excel.
  • Basic Statistical knowledge.
  • FuturMaster knowledge is recommended
  • Experience with system development.
  • Strong skills related to Leadership Expectations Connect and Deliver. Stakeholder management is critical.
