Senior Buyer

The Senior Buyer is responsible for negotiating the commercial terms with local and international suppliers while ensuring the OTIF and the quality of the products. He /she responsible of executing the orders on the system and follows-up with suppliers to meet quality standards and set delivery time.

 

  • Investigate & Analyze relevant market development with regard to suppliers, price and cost development for the assigned category.

Prepare analytical reports to short procurement spending and cost saving besides other requested reports

  • Collect, assess and discuss business requirments concerning goods / services to be purchased (quantities, specifications and / or service levels) for the assigned category.
  • Purchase items and services as requested by PSM and departments’ managers, in compliance with the company’s purchasing policies and procedures (Supply Chain material, spare parts, combustibles, building maintenance, POSM, stationery etc…).
  • Places orders on Base and ensure OTIF deliveries when applicable
  • Negotiate with suppliers regarding price, quality and delivery conditions for the assigned category and draft (proposals for) contracts inline with global / local standards
  • Ensure the organization and execution of procurement of goods / services for the assigned category, in line with the purchasing plan.Execute the procurement etc.
  • Investigate, assess and select existing and new suppliers in line with agreed requirements, internal guidelines and HGP strategy.
  • Build and maintain (strategic) relations with suppliers, evaluate supplier performance (progress, quality and cost levels) and propose improvements
  • Back up PSM in her/his absence
  • Dispose scrap material by transfer, usage, recycle, or sale.
  • Supports implementation of Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Helps in coordination with his Manager to locate suppliers of materials that will ensure the effectiveness of the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Evaluates Quality Objectives with the Manager.

  • Contribute to reaching BaBW objectives, by exploring and developing opportunities together with internal and external stakeholders
  • Follow up on procedure’s changes when occurred to be compliant with ISO requirements & departmental needs.
  • Assist the PSM with the yearly “Supplier Code”
