Reporting and Accounting Team Lead
Key Accountabilities
1. Accounting Quality & GL Control
- Lead Team, Ensure all general ledger postings comply with company policies, approved MOA, IFRS/LFRS, and Lao regulations.
- Maintain chart of accounts, product pricing, and accurate accounting records.
- Lead monthly balance sheet reconciliations, including intercompany and supplier confirmations.
- Oversee inventory and fixed asset counts, asset movements, and proper document filing and archiving.
2. Month-End Close & Financial Reporting
- Lead timely and accurate month‑end closing activities, including journals, accruals, intercompany revaluation, and FX review.
- Manage payroll, employee claims, PIT, and annual leave payments.
- Prepare and submit accurate financial statements and reports for regulatory and internal requirements (IFRS & LFRS).
- Ensure data integrity and completeness of subsidiary ledgers and general ledger balances.
3. Tax Compliance & Advisory
- Prepare, review, and file all monthly and annual tax returns (VAT, excise, CIT, PIT, withholding, and others).
- Perform tax reconciliations, risk assessments, and provide tax advisory to ensure full compliance.
- Develop and maintain tax SOPs and planning strategies to optimize tax position.
- Stay updated on tax law changes and coordinate with external tax advisors when needed.
4. CIL & Financial Systems Reporting
- Ensure accurate and timely upload of financial, intercompany, tax, FTE, CAPEX, and non‑financial data into the CIL system.
- Validate data quality and resolve discrepancies related to system reporting.
5. Audit, Risk & Continuous Improvement
- Lead and support internal and external audits, including tax audits and regulatory inquiries.
- Prepare audit documentation, respond to findings, and implement corrective actions.
- Identify accounting and process risks, lead system improvements, enhancements, and issue resolution to strengthen controls and efficiency.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Business, or related fields
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in finance, accounting, tax, audit, or banking; manufacturing experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial reporting, and tax regulations
- Good written and spoken English; excellent written and spoken Lao
- Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and attention‑to‑detail skills with integrity and accountability
- Ability to work independently and under pressure, manage deadlines, and handle large volumes of data
- Good communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills; proficient in Microsoft Office tools
- Basic in People development and coaching
