Safety Manager
I. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Heineken safety rules, standards and procedures and regulations compliance:
- Ensure compliance with Heineken’s health, safety, and environmental standards and local regulations.
- Maintain and update safety systems and internal procedures and monitor regulatory changes and ensure proactive compliance.
- Conduct safety audits and stay updated on regulatory developments. Perform regular safety patrols across brewery, head office, and branches; report and follow up on corrective actions.
- Lead monthly SHE meetings (e.g., OpCo, Safety Pillar) to ensure compliance and Communicate non-compliance issues to management promptly.
- Develop and test emergency response plans for supply chain operations, including major accident scenarios.
2. Provide Safety & Health knowledge of the employees at the right level
- Partner with department leaders to communicate safety goals and performance.
- Design and deliver safety training programs aligned with HEINEKEN and local standards.
- Implement and manage the Permit to Work system; train relevant personnel, Heart & minds, road safety programs, Responsible drinking related to safety, Life saving commitments.
- Train teams on incident investigation (5WHY methodology) and system upgrades.
- Identify and assess operational safety risks using TPM (ORR Route); lead cross-functional mitigation strategies and build organizational capability.
- Provide and manage SHE and personal protective equipment for employees and contractors.
3. Continuous Improvement on Safety in the workplace
- Define and monitor SHE KPIs; report safety performance regularly to management.
- Lead Safety Pillar planning and alignment across brewery and non-brewery sites.
- Stay current on standards and audit plans; benchmark best practices internally and externally.
- Drive continuous improvement in safety culture using TPM and Behavior-Based Safety systems.
- Evaluate effectiveness of safety systems and provide improvement feedback.
- Assess safety performance and ensure compliance and improvement with HEINEKEN Life Saving Rules.
4. Safety & Health reporting– accurately and timely
- Lead investigations into workplace incidents and near-misses; implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with safety authorities for reporting, permissions, and compliance.
- Ensure accurate reporting and tracking of incidents, accidents, and BBS statistics.
- Manage safety budgets, implement the plan and monitor and report as required
II. REQUIREMENTS:
- Bachelor's degree
- 5-8 years of experience, minimal 3 years in leadership position
- Having knowledge of Health & Safety, TPM methodologies and tools is advantage.
- Health & Safety management system, risk management, Incident Management
- Language: English and Lao
- Microsoft Office
- Ability to train, influence and motivate team members and others
- Work location: Brewery
