Social Community Manager



Beer Speaks, People Mumble … and we’re looking for a Great Mumblefier! The Social Community Manager builds relationships with Lagunitas fans across digital channels and brings Offline experiences to the Online, through real-time engagement & content. This role is responsible for maintaining a consistent tone of voice, look, and feel across all platforms and serves as a steward to the health of our brand with new audiences. The Social Community Manager also supports the Brand Communications Team in delivering integrated messaging across paid, earned, and owned initiatives.   • Act as the social brand ambassador by cultivating community and engagement in Lagunitas social spaces and managing all digital communities.
  • Assist in creating and adapting assets/copy as needed for curated content from internal teams.
  • Distribute content across all brand channels including Web, E-Mail, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube.
  • Provide editorial support for E-Mail and digital commuications.
  • Maintain consistent brand voice while engaging in relevant social conversations.
  • Identify real-time opportunities for engagement around cultural happenings and trends.
  • Ownership, management and development of all ongoing content and calendars.
  • Monitor spaces through social listening tools and identify insights and opportunities.
    • Funnel relevant online conversations to consumer relations department and broader marketing team when necessary.
  • Measure the impact of Social Media campaigns. Support Digital Manager in the ongoing developmet of weekly, monthly and AdHoc reports, highlighting insights with recommendations for how to optimize performance.
  • Produce and manage content and work closely with designers to ensure content is informative and appealing.
  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications.
  • Support in the TapRoom social media initiatives, including training of any ambassadors who support digital space.
  • Identify, curate and execute user-generated content program.
  • In the event of a crisis, support in immediate monitoring, responding and managing inquiries on social media.
  • Collaborate with other teams, including creative, brewing, strategy, and operations to ensure the strategy is reflective of objectives across the organization and uphold the brand consistently
  • Support digital team with platform maintence (i.e. website updates, TapRoom hour changes)
  • Develop reccomendations on content and social initiatives based on qualitiative and quantitiative insights.
  • Support PR function of communications as needed, helping with social listening and monitoring.
  • Proactively share social media best practices and bring forward new opportunities.



  • Bachelor’s Degree with a concentration in Marketing, Communications or equivalent.
  • A minimum of 4 years’ experience with Social Media/Community Management.
  • Proven track record of producing social content and managing social communities.
  • Understanding of paid social media buying and planning.
  • Solid understanding of Lagunitas voice and values.
  • Collaborative team player with the confidence to take the lead and guide other employees when necessary. (ie: content development, creation and editing of content, and online reputation management).
  • Proficiency with reporting tools and digital analysis.
  • Good understanding of social media KPIs.
  • Excellent writing skills and ability to deliver creative content.
  • Assist in identifying, presenting and executing creative ideas and themes for the brand.
  • Excellent organizational skills plus the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously under strict deadlines.
  • Passion for Lagunitas, the craft beer industry and all things digital.
  • Demonstrated capacity to cultivate strong relationships within the organization.
  • Results-driven focus and tenacious work ethic, with the drive, resolve, and urgency to accomplish specific goals in a professional manor.



  • Reports to Senior Digital Manager.
  • Works with creative team to develop creative ideas and execution.
  • Daily interface and frequent interaction with all departments across the business.
  • Love of dogs is optional, but tolerance of dogs is mandatory.



  • Travel approximately <10% throughout the year.
  • Work is typical office environment (by Lagunitas standards).
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator
