HR Operations Specialist- Petaluma

About the Role 

The HR Operations Specialist works closely with HR leadership to support with overall HR operations including but not limited to payroll, reporting, benefits, joiners, leavers and movers, and compliance. The HR specialist supports administration and communication of policies and practices, while leading a variety of key HR projects to completion. 


What You'll Do

  • Supports all areas of HR with specific projects within key areas including HR Operations, Client-Facing HR and Recruiting. 
  • Assists with bi-weekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees in a multi-state/international environment.
  • Supports managers in the resolution of payroll related issues.
  • Utilizes HR Databases for data entry and report generation; Generates and prepares weekly, semi-monthly, annual and ad hoc reports as necessary.
  • Assists with workers compensation processing and injury and illness prevention program.
  • Acts as liaison for employee payroll questions; communicates company pay practices, and wage & hour laws.
  • Ensures execution, implementation, application and management of HR policies, regulations, procedures, systems and tools, in collaboration with HR Operations and other HR COEs.
  • Processes employee transactions in HRIS: Joiners, Movers, and Leavers, and other employee changes as required.
  • Assists employees with HRIS related questions and issues.
  • Completes employment verifications and unemployment claims.
  • Personnel file maintenance.
  • Supports with onboarding and initiating the joiner, mover and leaver process.
  • Communicate cross functionally to ensure smooth on and off boarding of employees
  • Other projects and duties as directed.


What We're Lookin' For

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in Human Resources preferred. 
  • Prior HRIS experience preferred.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication, organizational, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and collaborate successfully.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Exceptional internal & external customer service competency required.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet strict deadlines and maintain confidentiality.
  • Passion for Lagunitas and the beer business preferred.


Key Relationships

  • Reports to Director of HR Operations.
  • Supports HRBPs and other Centers of Expertise with payroll and reporting projects.


Physical Requirements

  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
  • Work environment is indoors, majority of the time is spent sitting at a desk.
