Creative Project Manager, Marketing

About the Role 

The Creative Project Manager, Marketing, collaborates with the creative department and cross functional teams to plan, organize, direct, and execute design projects and integrated programs that fit into the framework of the Lagunitas marketing and sales strategy. 

 

What You'll Do

  • Partners with senior project manager and creative team to project manage integrated marketing programs; develop timelines, deliverables, and responsibilities to execute these programs.
  • Directs and delegates tasks against creative marketing project plans.
  • Exercises independent judgment to prioritize work, drives accountability and a sense of urgency throughout the team.
  • Manages or supports creative marketing projects, including social and digital assets, onsite and activation collateral, trade and POS needs, and packaging and innovation projects.
  • Supports agency relationships and consultants in the development and execution of integrated marketing programs.
  • Works with legal counsel for trademark searches and registrations, and adherence to legal guidelines.
  • Assists supply chain and quality teams to ensure smooth development and hand off of POS materials, set package and color standards, and upkeep of asset and packaging photo library.
  • Supports internal proofing and review process, sends artwork to vendors, and tracks multiple deadlines for all product creative asset and packaging needs.
  • Maintains project-specific timelines and stays within allotted budged for deliverables.
  • Fosters positive and collaborative relationships between creative department and the rest of the marketing team.
  • Maintain and manage all aspects of Digital Asset Management (DAM) system as well as facilitate companywide training sessions for internal stakeholders.  
  • Other duties and projects as assigned. 

 

What We're Lookin' For

  • A minimum of 3 years of experience working in creative marketing or brand management in the Consumer Packaged Goods industry or in an account management role on the agency side.
  • Understanding of design related processes such as printing, production, photography and video.
  • Familiarity with project management systems such as Smartsheet and Bynder (The DAM) a plus.
  • Ability to keep projects on time and in budget and hold team accountable to timelines and deliverables.
  • Excellent proactive problem solver.
  • Strong communication skills, time management and sense of urgency.
  • Presentation and facilitation experience to deliver company wide training and project updates.
  • Ability to multi-task and handle several competing initiatives simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Extremely organized and possesses an eye for detail.
  • Passion for Lagunitas and the craft beer industry.

 

 

Key Relationships

  • Reports to the Senior Manager, Creative Services.
  • Works closely with Senior Project Manager, Creative Team, Graphic Designers, Communications, Customer Marketing and Operations to ensure timelines are met. 
  • Daily interface and frequent interaction and collaboration across all departments

 

Physical Requirements

  • Travel approximately <10% throughout the year.
  • Work is typical office environment (by Lagunitas standards).
  • Ability to use a computer keyboard and calculator.
