AP/AR Manager

What You’ll Do 

  • Oversees Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable Teams (team of 4 people) 

  • Manages monthly close functions including:  

  • ERP AP close process and period closure 

  • Ensure: reconciling AP/AR ledgers, lease accounts, and other designated accounts 

  • Monthly analysis of accounts payable and receivable agings 

  • Bi-monthly report on aged receivables and dated payables balances 

  • Actively manage capital management metrics and report to management (DSO, DPO, aged balances) 

  • Facilitate adherence to weekly payment and collection runs maximizing capital 

  • Coordinate with treasury on rolling-forecast for cash requirements 

  • Support Treasury and FP&A for capital requirements 

  • Ensures and assists the processing of all invoices, credits, and payments are done accurately/timely 

  • Develop employees by providing on the job training, creating a development plan, and job rotation etc. 

  • Ensure processes are documented and back fill plan is in place (e.g. cross training). 

  • Review invoices and credit memos for approval and appropriate coding (Site, Departments, GL codes, and dimensions). 

  • Sets and monitors KPI’s for Accounts Payable & Accounts Receivable. 

  • Assists vendors and staff with questions pertaining to expenses and payables 

  • Manages corporate credit card set up and reporting 

  • Supports brewery staff on expense reporting and PO creation in Coupa. 

  • Develops, implements and maintains systems and procedures relating to Accounts Payable and Receivable. 

  • Updates and maintains vendor and distributor database in accordance with Internal polices and laws or tax regulations. 

  • Develop and provide relevant insights for internal finance business partners. 

  • Support with yearly audits and other internal control requirements for Lagunitas / Heineken. 

  • Initiate or collaborate with P&CI to drive Process Improvements for efficiency, quality or compliance  

  • Other duties as assigned 

What We’re Lookin’ For 

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting required 

  • A minimum of 5+ years of experience within accounting; AP/AR experience preferred. 

  • Strong organization and communication skills to discern and address the needs of the business, Finance, and company leadership. 

  • Strong technical experience with advanced software skills including information systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint), Sage X3 and Coupa preferred. 

  • Highly results-oriented with ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity and honesty. 

  • Demonstrated leadership capacity motivating and unifying teams. 

  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a dynamic environment. 

  • A constant learner, flexibility to flourish in a fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment. 

  • Must be highly organized, analytical, and detail orientated. 

  • Knowledge of general accounting procedures. 

  • Excellent administrative and verbal and written communication skills is required.
