Tropicalist Brand Ambassador
TROPICALIST BRAND AMBASSADOR:
POSITION SUMMARY
The primary responsibility of this role is to assist the Marketing and Sales departments by representing Cerveceria La Tropical and its product at local events. This is a part-time, seasonal role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & FUNCTIONS
- Pickup and drop-off La Tropical product from our Brewery or other provided location.
- Pick up La Tropical POS items including but not limited to tropical foliage, bounce back cards, branded tablecloth, cooler, table, and other collateral as needed.
- Arrive to event within timeframe for proper setup of all material and displays ensuring preparation is complete and product is organized for customers at beginning of event.
- Organize booth and marketing materials to represent La Tropical and the La Tropical vibe; create visually stimulating displays to attract customers using tropical foliage.
- Fully comprehend and communicate the variety of products to customers.
- Check identification of all customers to verify age requirements for purchase of alcohol.
- Answer customer inquiries, describe and recommend La Tropical beers and including where the beer can be purchased.
- Breakdown and cleanup of booth and displays; organize, clean, and properly store items to prepare for next event.
- Complete a post event recap; communicate insight to benefits and issues that arise with each event.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Familiarization with the La Tropical story and beers is a requirement.
DESIRED CAPABILITIES & CHARACTERISTICS
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Passion for La Tropical and the craft beer business.
- Understanding of draft systems and how to properly pour beer preferred,
- Prior experience including the organization, set up and successful execution of a marketing event is preferred but not required.
- Ability to demonstrate integrity and mature judgment in handling all matters.
- Excellent organization and problem-solving skills; works well under pressure and within a fast-paced environment.
- Outgoing personality, positive attitude and excellent professional verbal communication skills.
- Highly motivated, dependable, and able to work a flexible schedule including holidays, evenings, and weekends; must be able to attend all scheduled events.
- Basic knowledge of phone photography and video, MS Office including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Must be able to stand, walk, lift, and bend for long periods of time.
- Unusual / extensive hours: May be required to work long or unpredictable hours.
- Must be available nights and weekends.
- Work environment is primarily outdoors and may involve noise and temperature changes.
- Required to lift 35 lb. Cases, 165 lb. kegs and various point-of-sales boxes with a handcart on a periodic basis.
- Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license with acceptable driving history (in FL with current insurance); May need to drive long distances (up to 3 – 5 hours).
