Social Media & Events Coordinator (Full Time)- Cerveceria La Tropical Miami, FL


Our Social Media and Events Coordinator assists in the planning and supervision of all marketing projects, creatively and logistically with a strong emphasis on design, photography, content creation, social media, and event coordination.



  • Ability to design and execute engaging on-brand graphics for a variety of channels in print and digital using Adobe Suite programs (POS materials, website, social media, email marketing, and signage).
  • Photography: Capture original photo and video content at events and accounts that carry La Tropical products for social media and/or other marketing platforms. A combination of a cell phone and a DSLR camera use.
  • Assist in managing social media channels. This includes community management, copywriting, proofreading, and content creation.
  • Support marketing initiatives in planning, executing, and tracking marketing programs such as events, social media, email, and POS.
  • Ability to edit video content (compile segments, add music and text).
  • Assist in maintaining and updating company website (WordPress). Work with agency for more complex website needs.
  • Assist in email marketing campaigns and data analysis.
  • Collect, consolidate and systemically store resources such as photos and videos to be used in marketing efforts.
  • Create company presentations in PowerPoint and InDesign (as needed).
  • Maintain company presence on various channels (Untappd, Beer Advocate, Trip Advisor, Yelp, YouTube, etc.).
  • Managing relationships with external vendors to ensure high-quality and timely execution of marketing programs.



  • Compose and post content to the company website and other digital channels (social media, google, Untappd, etc.).
  • Coordinate events, including overseeing logistics, managing registrations, coordinating with vendors, creating itineraries, and ordering marketing collateral.
  • Thorough technical knowledge of all social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedIn).
  • Undertake and support daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of marketing initiatives.
  • Assist in organizing and managing promotional events on and off-site.
  • Attend on and off-site events and samplings to ensure their success (includes evenings and weekends).
  • Familiarity with Sprout Social a plus
  • Gather data on competitors and report findings and trends.
  • Lead inventory management for merchandise and assist in merchandising on-site and online.
  • Inventory tracking. Update spreadsheets and databases with statistical, financial, and non-financial information.
  • Participate in ride-a-longs with distributor sales reps.
  • Conduct pre-press on digital files before print.
  • Assist in operations related to marketing (vendor sourcing, order correspondence, inventory tracking, etc.).
  • Willingness to learn about beer, the brewing process, and be able to assist in educating taproom staff and other visitors on La Tropical beers.
  • Be flexible to attend off-site samplings and events including evenings and weekends (retail locations, festivals, etc.).
  • Develop relationships with beer writing communities (beer influencers, bloggers, etc.).



  • BA Degree in Design or a marketing-related field OR a portfolio link with proof of creative executions that fit the role described.
  • Proficient in CC Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, -- After Effects a bonus!)
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • 1-3 years of experience in marketing or a related field.
  • Must be highly creative and a strategic thinker.
  • Understanding of WordPress, ability to make basic changes.
  • Basic to intermediate understanding of Premier Pro.
  • Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
  • Excellent grammar. Great verbal and written communication.
  • Basic understanding of using a DSLR camera (auto mode is acceptable so long as photos look great).
  • Must be a self-starter and able to independently move projects forward, prioritize tasks and meet deadlines without compromising end result.
  • Occasional local travel may be required.



Requires moderate physical efforts. Standing, carrying, bending, stretching, stooping, pulling, and pushing, lifting weight up to 30 pounds.



  • May be required to attend on-site and/or off-site company-sponsored events after business hours and on weekends.
  • Must be willing to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
