Cerveceria La Tropical –Accounting Clerk 

Cerveceria La Tropical is a Heineken-owned brewery in the Wynwood arts district of Miami. We are looking to add an accounting clerk to our local finance team to support the business during a critical growth period by executing key tasks such as reporting, procurement-to-pay, and period closing.

Objectives

• Perform recurring accounting duties within the finance department while adhering to established standards
• Work cross-functionally with brewery and taproom operations, working with finance, sales, IT, production, and other Lagunitas/Heineken shared services to maintain clear and cohesive financials and other reporting
• Primary responsibilities will be to create Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, manage invoice approvals and aid in financial reporting
• Financial reporting support includes creating and maintaining recurring reports from Square, SAP, Market Man, TipHaus, Tripleseat, and other software used at La Tropical

Responsibilities

• Verify and post details about business transactions, such as funds received and dispersed, and total accounts to ledgers and databases
• Prepare consolidated internal financial statements from general ledger system
• Support in facilitating frequent audits as determined by La Tropical, including inventory, cash, payroll, etc.
• Generate ad hoc reports as determined by La Tropical
• Work with Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable teams to ensure timely payment and revenue tracking

Required skills and qualifications

• Four-year bachelor’s degree required (MBA preferred) in accounting
• One or two years’ experience with clerical accounting
• Solid foundation in excel, outlook, and other Microsoft Office applications
• Able to work from La Tropical HQ in Miami, FL
