ONE (1) YEAR FIXED-TERM CONTRACT ROLE

Job Purpose:

The Support Finance Analyst is responsible for assisting in financial planning, analysis, and reporting to support business decision-making. This role involves tracking financial performance, preparing reports, and ensuring compliance with financial policies and procedures. The analyst will work closely with finance teams and other departments to provide insights, improve financial processes, and support budgeting and forecasting activities.

Responsibilities:

• Maximize business performance by partnering with, challenging, and influencing the OpCo Support Function teams.
• Support decision-making by providing detailed analyses of GS&A expenses, FTEs, discretionary spending, and other key financial metrics.
• Assist in business planning cycles, including the 3-year Strategic Action Plan, Annual Operational Plan, and Latest Estimates, ensuring relevant financial insights and challenges.
• Monitor and report on performance, delivering streamlined reporting with KPIs, commentary, and insights to Support Function leaders.
• Track actual costs vs. budget/forecast, providing early warnings on deviations and presenting results to budget holders.
• Support investment decisions by preparing fund applications and providing financial analysis on proposed investments.
• Enhance financial controls by working with Compliance teams to implement and monitor robust control processes.
• Collaborate with Information Services to develop and improve the Management Information System based on business needs.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or a related field
• Certification/CIPS qualification is an advantage

Knowledge & Experience:

• Two (2) to three (3) years experience
• Experience in supporting business planning cycles, including strategic plans, and annual budgets.
• Excellent written and verbal communicator at all levels
