JOB PURPOSE:

Implement the IT policy and objectives for the organisation in line with the Global IT strategy, in order to ensure the realisation of the IT objectives that support the business strategy. They will manage the full scope of digital & technology (D&T) activities within the organisation with both in-sourced and outsourced processes, responsible for delivery of the total service portfolio. This position will also participate in the development and deployment of various regional and global projects in order to deliver more robust, standardized solutions across the region such that it integrates the IT strategic plan and the business units’ requirements.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop a 3-year IT plan and budget in line with global IT strategy and local/regional circumstances.
  • Translate the 3 year IT plan and into a yearly plan and budget, including one-year objectives, for the department, taking into account the business strategy and business project portfolio.
  • Ensure the execution of the yearly plan (including projects) as well as management of the operational processes and activities in accordance with the relevant stakeholders and on budget. Ensure adherence to the Heineken security & compliance policies. Participate in IT audits as required.  Ensure timely closure of any open audit issues.
  • Advise and facilitate management on IT policy/business development and project implementation within the business.
  • Translate business developments and objectives to IT improvement opportunities and initiate development projects, based on business needs.
  • Define requirements and formulate service level agreements (SLA) with in- and external parties and after approval of the customer and Regional/Global IT ensures the execution of the agreement. 
  • Select and manage suppliers in order to provide maximum business value on a functional, regional and local level. Obtain maximum value from suppliers through appropriate collaboration and engagement. Maintain and build relationships with internal customers and relevant parties.
  • Gather, interpret and identify IT developments and trends within the business / market and recommend measures to the process owner(s) as required.
  • Ensure the development and maintenance of a knowledge management network regarding IT and business developments.
  • Lead the department and manage employees including recruitment, performance management and (career) development. Ensure workforce capability is aligned to business needs, minimise gaps in IT talent and manage the supply and demand of talent in the IT organisation, enable the D&T organisation to implement and execute HR processes.
  • Manage the IT financial activities like invoicing, budgeting, account and charging in an effective manner. Manage overall IT costs/expenditures and ensure a consistent economic model is defined and applied.
  • Lead and supervise a team of 5 persons, as well as Service Partners.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Minimum Bachelor of Science degree in Computer related studies; or the equivalent qualified by experience

 

KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE:

  • Minimum 8 years relevant technology experience, with at least 5 years’ experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong customer service and action-oriented delivery focus
  • Strong stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to thrive and deliver results in a matrix environment.
  • Agile and able to adapt to changing environments.
  • Excellent and demonstrated verbal and written communication skills.
  • Experience in multinational environment is a plus.
  • Facilitation, internal consulting, project management, and strong organizational skills.
  • Experience or understanding of Manufacturing/FMCG Industry would be advantageous.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and manage through complexity, setting priorities and often leading members of a project team toward a common goal.
