Finance Commercial Analyst

The role will report to the Commercial Finance Business Partner and has three main purposes:

1. To be a key finance business partner for the Off Trade Channel
2. Provide strong decision support for Off Trade
3. Contribute with your financial and analytical expertise to cross functional projects to drive growth for Heineken Ireland

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership

• Connect with and develop your key stakeholders and challenge them on financial awareness

Business Partnering

Maximise business performance by:

• analysing promotional spend ROI
• providing scenario modelling for customers performance
• leading analyses to provide insight into gross margin performance
• preparing channel profitability analysis
• leading ad hoc analysis to gain insight where relevant.
• ensuring the integrity, quality and timeliness of the financial systems and process to deliver information to the business

Planning, Budgeting and Forecasting

• Support the business planning cycle for the Off Trade channel within the OpCo for the Annual Operational Plan, Rolling Forecast and monthly customer performances including providing relevant challenge to key account managers and controllers

Business Performance Management

• Lead and coordinate the analysis of revenue performance
• Monitor actual cost development vs Budget/LE, provide early warnings on deviations and proactively make decisions to bring back to plan.
• Present results to key stakeholders within the function and channel
• Define and challenge the requirements for standard management reporting
• Maintain and improve BI reporting

Control Compliance and Risk Management

• Establish and implement policies and processes within the Marketing and Off Trade Function to ensure the integrity of accounting records and financial information.
• Ensure risks for the Marketing and Off Trade Functions are managed throughout the year; propose mitigating actions and flag risks to the Sales and Marketing Management Teams

Your working environment

You will work closely with the Commercial Finance team, Supply Chain and Strategic Controllers & key stakeholders of the Off trade Commercial teams

Knowledge and Experience:

The ideal candidate should:

• 4+ years in high-profile FMCG/commercial role
• Experience of dealing with senior management
• Expert Skills in BI, MS Excel, PowerPoint, and financial modelling
• Challenging, agile and inquisitive approach
• Stakeholder Management
• Clear decision-making skills
• Excellent written and verbal communicator at all levels
• Management of business issues impacting financial results and a strong commercial acumen 
• Knowledge and affinity of Financial Systems (ideally including SAP)
