Main Responsibilities:

  • As a lab technician in our innovative team, you will be responsible for carrying out analysis, both analytical and microbiological, in accordance with the HEINEKEN global standards to ensure the integrity of our products.
  • You will interpret and report results and develop reports/graphs from the quality information system when required.
  • You will maintain and update controlled documents in the document control system
  • You will calibrate and verify lab instruments to guarantee accuracy and precision of analyses
  • You will be part of the Sensory analysis of brewery samples and sensory analysis training will be provided.
  • You will need to comply with food safety procedures in the production process, be aware of the hazards analysis and process flows for each area and report all food safe issues to the Laboratory Supervisor or any food safety team member.
  • You will maintain and report any deviations from the norm to the Laboratory Supervisor and implement corrective actions to ensure the integrity of our laboratory.
  • You will participate in continuous improvement (TPM) activities
  • you will be required to participate in regular internal and external audits and solve any corrective actions.
  • As safety is our number one priority, you will be required to support the site safety culture by reporting all incidents, near misses and accidents.

 

Education and Experience

  • Third level qualification in Food, Science or Brewing discipline and experience of working in a laboratory.
  • Experience in microbiology is an advantage
  • Microsoft Office knowledge (Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint), experience of document control system and quality information system, with a strong emphasis on data interpretation.
  • The ability to work independently or collaboratively as part of a cross functional team.
  • Be highly customer focussed and possess the necessary communication, interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Be innovative, willing, and engaged in ongoing training on new processes & operations.
