Job Title: Brewery Demand & Supply Chain Planner

Department: Supply Chain

Duration: Permanent

 

Job Summary:

As a Demand and Supply Planner within Heineken Ireland, you will be responsible for effectively managing the balance between supply and demand for our products. Your primary focus will be to forecast demand, plan production schedules, manage inventory levels, and collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure efficient operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. 

 

Responsibilities:

 

Demand Planning:

  • Generate monthly demand plans, incorporating statistical and commercial forecasts with future use of AI Tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather market insights and historical data for accurate demand forecasting.
  • Monitor and adjust demand plans in response to market dynamics and supply chain disruptions.
  • Assist with the implementation and embedding of a new forecasting tool across the business.

 

Supply Planning:

  • Develop production plans based on demand forecasts, production capacity, and inventory levels to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Manage raw materials inventory to meet production schedules.
  • Coordinate with brewing and Production teams to schedule production runs, optimize production efficiency, and minimize lead times.
  • Review Stock levels weekly and adjust production schedules as required.
  • Management of Returnable packaging materials and any associated Capex Requests.

 

 

 

 

Sales & Operations Planning Process:

 

  • Take ownership of the full end to end S&OP process for Brewery planning.

 

 

TPM (Total Productive Management):

  • Initiate, implement, and embed improvements to demand planning processes through continuous improvement (TPM) initiatives.
  • Foster a cost-conscious & continuous improvement mindset for ongoing enhancements.
  • Present twice-yearly for global audits to assess progress and performance.

 

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Strong analytical skills with expertise in demand forecasting models an advantage.
  • Experience of SAP system would be desirable.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or related roles within the beer industry or consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector.
  • Expert skills MS Excel, PowerPoint would be advantageous.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and levels of the organisation.
  • 3+ years of experience in demand planning, supply chain management, or related roles within the beer industry or consumer packaged goods (CPG) sector.
  • Bachelor’s degree ideally in Business, Economics, Statistics, Engineering, or another relevant field
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.
